    What’s the best way to meet new people while traveling?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    It was a good day until I woke up around 4:30 in the morning after something happened to me in my dream…!

    Which becomes a post for the night later today…!

    Well—

    Talking to them would be a start…!

    For example,

    If you make a pit stop,

    Maybe refueling your car/bike if you are travelling in your own vehicle,

    And,

    You come across some people who are local,

    You can hit up a conversation and ask them about the local traditions and some place that they would recommend which you can check out while you’re in the vicinity…!

    You can meet someone that you know from your friends or family…!

    Imagine you plan on exploring India,

    And extended family of yours lives up north—

    You can visit them and get to know your roots and talk to them about how your family ended up here…!

    Also,

    You can talk to them about traditions and what are things that an outsider should be aware of when they explore the town…!

    But, don’t be a burden on them by staying with them all day you don’t know how they are doing and you don’t want to barge in on someone’s privacy…!

    Now,

    Imagine you are using public services like plane,train,bus or any other transport that exists like ferry near water bodies…!

    You will have to talk to strangers,

    If you plan on hitchhiking like asking strangers to drop you off wherever they are going…!

    But,

    For that,

    You will have to be humble and expect to be rejected until a saviour comes and takes you near to the destiny that you have in your mind…!

    You can strike up a conversation with people who are sitting on the berth next to you,

    And,

    If you find someone who shares the same destination as you,

    You can ask them to give you some heads up and be prepared for what they might have to face once you land or arrive at your destination…!

    You can join groups or travel in one of you don’t feel comfortable travelling all alone,

    This way you can meet strangers and talk to them as much as you want…!

    Which is supported by people who will take care of you but for that you will have to pay the amount upfront…!

    These would be some ways in which I would find companionship while travelling,

    Well some of them can be my relatives too…!

    Can’t they….?

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    It’s a good day today because after getting Mithu the much needed bathing and her 9 in 1 vaccine with multivitamins for her bones and bladder control,

    She is finally starting to get active once again…!

    Which in turn makes us happy…!

    Coming back to the prompt

    If Aliens arrived tomorrow and I had a fix on that they were coming tomorrow,

    With an opportunity that I can talk to them in a language that they understand—

    I’d prepare a lot of questions—

    But,

    I guess I wouldn’t be the one to talk to them in the first place because what if they seem destruction and eradication of human life because of the way their perception is about it…!

    Imagine seeing us from afar—

    We are fighting wars amongst us to show who is more powerful,

    And,

    Other times we are busy terrorising our neighbouring nation because of land mass and who they support…!

    And,

    If they think that this is who we are,

    They might as well be prepared for a standoff the very instant they get face to face with not me, but anyone they see first…!

    But,

    If they were considerate enough and heard us out first and if I got a chance I would ask them after exchanging pleasantries like how are they doing, where did they come from and how was the trip to this planet and such…!

    A major question—

    What was the reason to leave their planet or a cluster of planets and seek a living being who are able to think and comprehend…?

    I mean we have been giving off signals from a long time and it’s possible that they finally got something that originated from us,

    Or,

    They got a chance to access the golden disc that we sent out into the void of space…!

    It would for sure be awesome to get an answer and explore the lore behind how they began as a civilisation and how they ended up the way they are right now…!

    Instead of poking and probing them the very instant they got here…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    This is going to be a short one because I am running late and forgot to set the alarm in the morning so everything that I planned to do is running late simultaneously…!

    The most underrated skill according to me would be—

    Actively listening to someone and being able to comprehend what they want to tell you by reading cues that they give off unknowingly…!

    There are many ways in which people talk and a message is conveyed—

    Like—

    When someone is talking about a tragic incident their voice becomes soft when they believe something they are talking about is shameful—

    Or,

    When they talk about something where they are wrong they avoid matching your eyes at times,

    And,

    When they talk about something they are proud about you can hear it in their voice like they are saying it with their chest and a sense of pride is seen in their eyes too…!

    This way of looking at the cues which might not exist in their words is somewhat of a skill that I try to hone each day and plan to excel at someday…!

    Hey….

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I think this will be a good day—

    I was up at 8 a bit late than my usual routine and than rotting in my be for almost an hour I headed out to walk…!

    It’s now 11:15 as I’m finally free after giving mithu a bath which was long due—

    We come back to the prompt

    I live on the basic philosophy of not saying or doing bad to anyone…!

    It’s not that I can’t—

    I’m not a pure being there are instances where I cannot control how and what I feel;

    But,

    Most of the time I try to avoid thinking bad/speaking bad about someone because I know I will have to repay it sooner than later…!

    I have had instances where I have thought I’ll of someone and it was I who had to face repercussions for it,

    Maybe it was a monetary loss or even a small mishap—

    I had to pay back fate each time…!

    I strictly believe in working hard and not caring if I’m watched or not…!

    I don’t live for short term validation which give a sense of belief that I’m doing well right now—

    But,

    Before you know it you’re chasing the next rush and you’re willing to do whatever it takes…!

    My day job forces me to think multiple times over and prepare a final product that is worthless if I go 0.01mm lower—

    Whole job—

    Everything has to be scrapped and start all over once again…!

    So,

    thinking even before we have and what we need is very critical where I get this habit of checking and proofreading everything multiple times over…!

    Staying curious and noticing things in the ordinary…!

    The habit of being curious is something that I have nurtured all along these years,

    Which has helped me become who I am today…!

    And this keen nature to observe everything and finding things within what people would consider ordinary is somewhat of a blessing…!

    To be honest to wrap it up…!

    It feels like—

    I don’t need to have everything figured out, it’s more like I need to keep moving in this direction which I think is the right one for me right now…!

    I know it’s a Monday that you have to endure but I hope this prompt helps you to be a bit better…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Happy Sunday to all those who still have a few hours of daylight left…!

    And if you guys went out of your homes up north to enjoy the long weekend, I hope you reach here on time…!

    The best way to explore the city would be having an insight into what goes on before going there…!

    Well,

    I know it means you cannot explore an unknown city or state without help—

    But,

    If we are talking about the situation that are going on right now, we cannot be sure who is speaking the truth or who’s just trying to take advantage of the fact if you don’t know the local rules and have a basic knowledge like the fare it takes to reach somewhere…?

    It might feel like there isn’t a place where you wouldn’t be ripped off or where you would be judged if you don’t come from their culture,

    But,

    That aspect is mutual—

    If you won’t respect their traditions and customs or act like what is normal back home for you is also normal for them—

    You can show some skin at the beach or a water body anywhere outside,

    But,

    If you do it here in India 🇮🇳(which people take a lot of pride in)

    All that you will get are piercing stares and an attempt or two of people assuming you are willing to do anything for money…!

    Sad way to look at who we are but the absolute truth…!

    But,

    Now coming to the real way to explore;

    Talk to people—

    Well they are a stranger as much as you are for them, so if you are travelling to a place which you already plan to visit

    Ask the taxi driver/Shopkeeper/street food seller or even someone passing by—

    But just ask for a place and don’t let them take you there,

    Because you don’t know what awaits your fate after going with them;

    Politely ask them to give directions and firmly deny if you don’t feel safe…!

    Have a destination planned where you want to end up with alternate paths that lead to it

    Imagine you want to visit old Delhi—for example you planned to reach the main Chandni Chowk road using a cab and end this day by visiting sisganj sahib;

    But instead of a cab you chose metro and now you could visit Rajiv chowk and explore the blue line and manoeuver through to yellow line and end up walking on the platform which takes you to Chandni Chowk but you get down at Chawri bazar after someone advised you to have gol gappe or dahi chaat from natraj and you absolutely loved it;

    Visit a popular and a less popular place on the same day…!

    Imagine you wanted to go to Saket and have your lunch at Indian habitat centre;

    But,

    On coming out of it you wanted to cut the heat so you grab a cold coffee from the street vendor called squizzy coffee who has a stall right next to to mother dairy booth number 232, near Central Park…!

    (Not paid I just like the coolers and coffee that guy prepares he comes from Uttam Nagar to work here so show some love…!)

    Visit the city at two different times…!

    The world around you,

    Isn’t the same round the clock—

    There are some places that you will find operate at three or four in the morning and shut down before a normal person wakes up…!

    I am talking about pakoras that you get at wee hours of the day at Tilak Nagar…!

    Or,

    You have paranthas that you can have up until 5am under the naraina flyover…!

    Or

    Moolchand metro station where you can find anything that you like in parantha form until 4 in the morning…!

    Delhiites and their obsession with paranthas…!

    Before I forget— do visit a local flea market that differs from area to area— like in Karol bagh it’s Monday;

    For Patel Nagar it’s Friday—

    And for Rajinder nagar it’s Thursday…!

    I hope this prompt came at the right time and helped you explore Dilli a bit more…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Well,

    There are many moments that make me realise that I’m alive and theek are a reason that I have to continue this life…!

    Some of them are bad—

    Like going to someone’s funeral…

    It made me realise the shortness of life and how we take it all for granted until it ceases to exist and we are left with sadness and pain that exists around us and it comes around to us in a circular path and we are travelling in the centre of it…!

    Or something happy like—

    Having your own child…!

    The sudden feeling that a whole another human being is born who will carry your name forward, is a feeling that cannot be shaken and the very first time when you are handed your child into your arms it feels like they are something that you will protect forever and you will always be there for them;

    And,

    The feeling that you get from your significant other when you see them in a state in which they brought a life into this world makes you realise that no one is brave enough than them…!

    Something adventurous like

    Doing an adventure sport for the first time…!

    You know how people travel in groups and even if we count people having their own adventures and exploring new aspects it’s somewhat of a win and unique experience for all of them…!

    Imagine going river rafting…!

    That was a unique experience and being a part of a group that has its own responsibility like maintaining the path of the boat and the goal of keeping each one of us alive is shared by all those who are onboard…!

    When you witness something extraordinary…!

    Like reaching your destiny when you are traveling somewhere after a lot of hardships…!

    Or,

    Waking up to witnessing your first sunrise after you have been dead tired while traveling to a find a homestay or even climbing a summit…!

    Or,

    Witnessing snowfall for the very first time…!

    There are many a things that we can consider that makes us feel alive and to be honest the only thing that matters is how we perceive it…!

    There might be many things that make us feel alive that one might not consider like—

    Being loved without asking for it,

    Or,

    Finally letting emotions loose and crying your heart out after bottling everything for a while…!

    Or,

    Meeting someone you thought you never will and discussing how their life was before and how they are doing…!

    Or,

    Realising the fact that you survived a night or an incident in your life that you thought you wouldn’t but you still walked out fine….!

    Maybe not on your legs but on all fours but you survived to see another day…!

    Maybe the meaning of feeling that aliveness is just not doing something extraordinary,

    But,

    Maybe it’s just feeling the best in the moment and never wishing to be anywhere but in that situation maybe or maybe not surrounded by people who you love and care for…!

    So feel alive,

    For yourself and those around you all…!

    I hope all of you are doing well….!

    Happy Gandhi Jayanti to all those who are celebrating…!

    On top of that it’s a public holiday too…!

    So

    Even if people have many critical comments on him I thank him for his birth and letting us have a day off in the middle of the chaos…!

    Coming back to the prompt…!

    To be honest…!

    I think prompt is repeated and I would love to change my wish today as I wanted to be away from home just this once and even if I have a few guests over—

    I’d love the ability to teleport myself anywhere…!

    Couldn’t get seats and bus tickets to anywhere and the condition at our bus adda/major bus junction felt like ants taking food to their home…!

    If I could teleport within our borders it would be such a dream come true…!

    I’d be sleeping in Manali under the stars each night,

    Returning to work in Delhi all day and spend my evening talking a walk in Bangalore enjoying the local culture…!

    I’d spend my day off purchasing tea leaves from Assam and I’d spend an afternoon enjoying myself in Mumbai sea shore,

    And I’d spend my evening in Panjab and having a drink at my friend’s motor(area right next to their fertile land which is made for sitting and enjoying…!)

    And id wake up and rush to Delhi in buzz with a hope I will sober up soon…!

    Somedays I would just spend my days in Himachal roaming aimlessly…!

    Well taking a bike on rent and driving it as much as I can…!

    Taking in all the scenery…!

    Isn’t teleportation great until you don’t take illegitimate advantage of this ability…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Happy October to all of you and this month counts as welcoming of a spooky feeling for those who celebrate Halloween and for us Indians we celebrate this month in an auspicious way…!

    We will be celebrating Ashtami, Dussehra, karva chauth and welcoming Diwali in the first week of November…!

    Kids for sure wait for these festivities and we adults wait for them as we have a chance to connect with people who we love and cherish…!

    Coming back to the prompt…!

    A great side hustle around these times would be opening a roadside stand which sells things that are perishable which will be used using these festivities…!

    Selling diyas, poster of G0ds, pre packed sweets like patisa which roams house to house like something no one wants until it reaches a house where people love it…!

    A great side hustle would be providing people/businesses by helping them create images and videos that they can send out on the masses for which I guess you would be paid a menial amount but if the gig gets a bigger reach you can do a large amount of work using ai and sell it to them…!

    If you are already in the process of writing and creating content;

    You can be a proofreader or even create context like captions, small poetry and even articles that you can sell for what seems like a reasonable fit for you…!

    At last,

    If you have some skills in computer languages, you can be a ethical hacker and solve problems for companies which are looking for outside sources to first reduce their costs and the work can also be somewhat of a part time of you negotiate with them…!

    These are some of the side hustles that I consider would work for you..!

    It doesn’t matter where she’s from,

    If she’s from this side of the border or that side,

    A daughter is always a daughter,

    Doesn’t matter her age when it comes to these violent, crooked minded animals who commit these atrocities against these innocent souls and later blame it on what she wore or how she was revealing too much skin or how she was out late at night…!

    A fear needs to put in our minds—

    I used the word “our” because I come from the same gender who commits these atrocious acts against a girl, a woman and someone whom you could call your grandmother;

    And,

    The way these monsters roam free after committing an act that should be repaid by their own life is too high;

    When someone has a daughter at home and they see her with a pure vision and want no harm to come her way;

    How does that same vision dwindles as soon as those eyes find a prey??

    A prey in their eyes who is no greater than their daughters and why doesn’t their daughter’s face reflect in her face;

    Do you think they are conscious enough not to hurt and do something unthinkable to their own daughter but their mind tells them otherwise as soon as they see someone who is not their blood…?

    Or,

    They already have their vision on them but don’t do anything because they’re scared,

    Scared of the fact that they will be ostracised if they do something to their own daughters…?

    How come your daughter deserves safety, respect and dignity;

    While the girl walking alone on the road, even during broad daylight deserves none….?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Special holiday wishes to those who are a part of our financial services and have been provided a three day off which was yesterday, today and tomorrow…!

    If I were to answer honestly—

    Every relationship that you had with everyone around you has formed you into who you are today…!

    And those relationships have taught you who you are and what place you hold for them and on a similar way what place they hold in your hearts…!

    From your mother, father and siblings to your friends, crushes even enemies;

    Every relationship has taught you an aspect of how you should do something—

    And,

    It has also taught you how not to behave and what not to say which you possibly endured and it made you stronger…!

    Imagine coming from a loving family where there is peace and quiet—

    And a perception builds around you that this is a normal thing until you explore around you and find out there are happy families and there are families where chaos runs so deep that it becomes less of a family but more of a struggle…!

    Imagine you have a person who you love and they act like they love you too and after everything is done they walk away from you like love was never a concept in their life…!

    I’ve been in a couple of places myself where there were false promises made,

    And,

    When it came to taking accountability and standing up for the person who you considered love of your life;

    They easily gave up on you like there was nothing there to begin with…!

    In a similar way when a friend who you call your chaddi buddy,

    Literal translation is that you were friends when you were in your diapers..!

    And,

    Someday they come to your rescue and someday you go to them to help em out…!

    But,

    Slowly this thing dissipates out as they get more responsibilities you become a figment of the past and a memory that stays in there mind—

    To be honest,

    I think we learn a whole lot when a person departs from our life rather than when they keep on staying—

    It teaches us a valuable lesson that nothing is permanent and even the perfectly simple and pure things are meant to be broken and we often find ourselves looking and trying to fix those shattered pieces;

    But to no avail…!
