  • What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    To be a kid at heart πŸ€” it seems like a very tricky question because it depends on what time in life do you ask this question to a person…

    Imagine asking this to a 18 year old who just passed school and now has plans to attend college to further continue their studies or tries to get into a work college to learn and tackle real life skills while working and learning the also earning something for the family

    Their response would naturally differ because one where they attend normal college they would still have some innocence, they’d be playful, a little immature and even make mistakes along the way,

    But someone who has joined work school/college due to some circumstances they wouldn’t be shaped that way, their first few adult years of upbringing would be much harsher as they would be guided and taught and made aware of the world much sooner than a normal kid would…

    Now imagine asking this to a person who is is their mid 30’s working in a corporate world their response would be someone who is a kid at heart would have been exploited a whole lot, a lot of responsibilities would have been given to them(not necessarily belonging to them) and their emotions and their innocence played by many just to get their work done or taken advantage of (in a bad way)…

    Now asking this to someone who is in their mid 50’s would be a gem to hear,

    They’d start it like,

    β€œOh to be a kid at heart it would mean the world to them, during their times it was all they could do, they used to play with neighbouring kids and used to do all the fun activities together, take on adventures, watching episodes on tv together, playing console games and so much…

    And sometimes it feels like it never goes away, the innocence that someone carries with themselves and how they take care of those around them and feel vulnerable when someone raises their voice at them but at the end of the day they come back in a way to mediate all that happened even if it weren’t their fault…

    For me to be a kid at heart is a bad thing, perhaps when you are soft spoken worry to much about other and give other priority by giving yourself a back seat in your own life all one is doing is let them take advantage of your state or the place of mind that you are right now,

    Most importantly people skip things make mistakes and tell sorry and such people make mistakes and count on your innocence and your nature of forgiveness more often…

    With such a thing comes both ups and downs well such a thing exists and you can find it in people many times,

    But it’s upto you to embrace this quirk of theirs or take advantage of it for your own shallow benefits…

  • Describing how these past couple of months went by…

    Describe a family member.

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    I know it’s been a while since I’ve been alive here but I’m more than happy to tell you that all of the works are returning soon…

    The write ups the relations the works all of them πŸ˜‰

    Just had to spend some time to get all of the things in order, work to the place it belongs or it should have belonged;

    All things said a lot has happened and I’m here to tell you all everything about it sooner than you think…

    Life has been tricky

    This realisation came after losing a few members, some people I used to do deals with(friends made through the business) their ages ranging from mid 30’s to late 60’s…

    Helping them all along with whatever I could by lending an ear; sometimes just talking and getting to know what goes on inside their minds…

    With that being said all that was done back then has to be exhumed and revived and a new vision that exists has to be brought to this world;

    To be brought to you (my precious reader…)

    That was all about me as a family member…

    List 10 things you know to be absolutely certain.

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    These are the ten things that I believe to be absolutely certain it will happen or will affect our future happenings…

    1. Whatever you’re going through,
      unless you make an effort to get up and move forward,
      try and struggle to better yourself each and every day,
      you’ll be in a place (Not physically but mentally) better…
    2. Your hard work will be paid off,
      if its sincere and that doesn’t involve cutting corners and stepping on someone,
      (Even if you tell others you’re not affected by it,
      a set of eyes see you,
      and see the misery you pushed onto someone to be where you are..)
    3. There will be an end of you,
      end of the time that you’re staying in,
      end of all the lives that are dependent on you,
      end of all who you look up to,
      end of all those who look up to you too,
      ending is already planned well before your arrival,
      so,
      make it worth the while,
      and appreciate it all…
    4. All the things that you feel are real,
      there are times when your subconscious hints you to do something,
      sometimes it tells you not to,
      and more you come into tune with this inner version of you,
      better it will be for you…
    5. There is a need for you to have connections with people,
      it might feel that you are doing this for your benefit,
      or it might feel like they’re doing it for their benefit,
      but,
      when the need occurs,
      take a fall,
      and let them be the cushion that can soften it,
      but that doesn’t mean you can run amok if they’re hurting,
      you have to be there for them too,
      plus,
      you need some of these for testifying for you if something bad happens,
      and give you a clean chit…
    6. Have a few friends,
      you need them…!
      they are absolutely necessary,
      have strict rules and guidelines and push them through,
      and if they still stand with you,
      through thick and thin,
      they’re there for you to stay with you forever,
      (That doesn’t mean it cannot happen to you,
      they’re going to test you too,
      and of you aren’t available for them,
      you will lose them too…)
    7. Be there for your immediate family,
      your father,
      Mother brother and sisters if you have any,
      they are your crux,
      and if you aren’t available for them,
      you definitely won’t have time for anyone,
      because they are the ones who make and break you from the very core…
    8. Have an emergency fund set up,
      at least 6 to 12 months of fund set up separately,
      which you should not use on the regular,
      but during emergencies only,
      (I know this seems impossible for some,
      but it has to start somewhere,
      a few here and there,
      some stuck between the couch,
      it started as a big jar for me (Earthen pot Also called Gullak),
      maybe it can for you too..!
    9. Have something that saves you from this bad world,
      maybe a habit,
      maybe a vice,
      maybe a thing that you do to keep you alive and functioning in this fast-paced world,
      maybe a person,
      your s/o,
      boyfriend/girlfriend,
      a routine,
      maybe spending a few days with them,
      maybe a solo trip,
      or maybe a thing as simple as a beverage that you saw an ad for,
      or a food that you find appealing,
      wait until you can’t anymore and do it,
      or have it;

      Don’t necessarily deny yourself a thing that will help you live another day,
      but don’t jump on the very first moment you have a thought about it…

      Think it through…
    10. All of it might not work for you,
      there are times you have to cut ties,
      even with those who share same blood,
      even those whom you grew up with,
      and spent entire childhood with,
      but,
      when it comes to severing ties,
      remember,
      there is no such thing as losing a vision of self to be there for someone who would show you the gate the very instant,
      they find your worth has been utilized…


    These are my certainties,

    Navigating Risks: Security vs. Adventure Mindset

    Are you seeking security or adventure?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    Today’s prompt is a good one,
    and it categorizes the life and its teaching into two main points,
    how you grew up,
    what sort of beliefs you have,
    what sort of beliefs were you provided and,
    what sort of beliefs you accepted and adapted yourself with them…

    For me,
    I seek security with a touch of adventure…

    I’d go for a new dish at a restaurant,
    every once in a while,
    and order the usual on the regular days,
    and if I don’t like it,
    I won’t send it back,
    but,
    save it as an adventure that went the other way…

    When we go out,
    and there is a new experience to achieve,
    I’ll think about it for a while,
    and if it’s not as safe as it looks,
    I won’t do it,
    but,
    at the same time,
    the adventurous me looks at the scared me,
    and speaks nothing when my mind warns me about the safety issue…

    The same happens in the workplace,
    if there is something a pitch or an idea that involves some amount of risk factors,
    but the outcome of it shall place me at a higher level than those around me,
    I’d happily opt in and research it through and through,
    and bring it up in meetings or in private too,
    but,
    with a lot of calculations,
    I’d consider it,
    if it was worthy of taking the risk or not…

    Generally,
    it happens that all of us take a mix of it,
    a sense of security comes in when there is too much to lose,
    and a sense of adventure comes in when we don’t have much care,
    but,
    consequences of it still are there on one’s mind,
    making it worthy of taking the risk…

    That’s it for the day,
    enjoy the last day of your day off today,
    spend some time being productive and preparing for the days that are yet to come…

    Dinner with Loved Ones: Healing Through Memories

    If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    There was a family tradition that used to take place earlier in our family,
    we used to get together,
    have drinks,
    cook our own food,
    some it was store bought,
    and it only required heating it a little bit..

    But,
    it was like once maybe twice a year kind of tradition which used to take place at our residence,
    but people used to come from faraway places,
    even from neighboring states,
    a day or two before…

    We used to have music,
    and used to hit steps after getting a bit tipsy,
    but,
    all in everyone enjoyed to their fullest,
    there would be people sitting in the corner eating and drinking,
    talking to each other,
    I would occasionally check on them and get them anything they needed,
    and they’d thank me for it,
    and the smile would stay on my face the entire night…

    Until,
    the latter half on ’23,
    after battling for an entire year,
    and losing at the end,
    the life was never the same,
    all the point of get-together became a sham,
    there was no happiness whatsoever,
    all the sense,
    essence of happiness or get-together was lost,
    as he left us…

    So,
    I’d invite my now deceased father,
    and revive the long-lost tradition of having the grand dinner once again,
    Or teach us how we could continue without the loss of someone so dear to our hearts,
    where all of us would get together,
    and enjoy to our fullest,
    once again,
    yet again…

    What do you think gets better with age?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    There are a few things that get better with age,
    that I can think of,
    at this very instant…

    Taste…

    Your preferences become more filtered,
    instead of the crude and in their raw versions they were before;

    You acquire taste in various fields like,
    Music, fashion, food and art,
    and these choices become yours,
    because they are acquired through trial and err,
    and they now show a great part of you…

    Wisdom and a vision for perspectives…

    As you grow and work,
    you gain skill,
    an insight into seeing the bigger picture,
    even the missing one which you have to create to achieve that level,
    But,
    that does mean giving up on things that are unimportant at that time,
    which can cause you to feel left alone or isolated,
    because things like these aren’t visible in the early years of life,
    and if it were,
    you’d most probably spending much time alone contemplating them,
    by planning ahead from an early age…

    Controlled grip on emotion…

    As you age and get reality checks,
    setbacks that make you realize your position,
    In life and in society,
    capping your goals and framing your life within a few things that were within your reach,
    you start to understand and have your views on things,
    and when you come to know the actual reality of those around you,
    the different way they are bound to you,
    some just like you…

    then you gain control over your emotions and built a stamina for it,
    which makes it harder for you to take an unnecessary fall,
    which can be made on early deductions…

    Foods and beverages…

    There are certain things,
    certain foods and drinks that become your acquired taste,
    like fine wine and pairing it with specific cheeses;

    Taste of truffles is one of them,
    it feels weird at first and after consuming it often,
    it becomes a taste that suits your palate…

    Just like wine,
    the taste of good whiskey is acquired through many trials and errors,
    you try expensive whiskey and drink it using some ice and little water,
    and it doesn’t hit you back like the cheap ones usually do,
    their buzz is consistent and not something that becomes a high or low within a matter of few minutes,
    But,
    that doesn’t mean it’s good for you;

    Anything and everything in moderation is better…

    Awareness of self and boost in confidence…

    With age,
    one becomes adamant on their rules and regulations that work for them,
    all of the outside judgment is ignored,
    and one becomes more comfortable in their own skin;

    Which in turn builds confidence,
    by not having a constant pressure of surroundings,
    and growing at a pace that seems comfortable for self,
    which sparks this feeling that’s-

    MORE ABOUT KNOWING LESS ABOUT PROVING”

    with that being said,
    these are the things that I think,
    get better with age,

    Struggles with Sleep and Morning Wake-Up Times

    What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    All that comfort in the life finding prompt yesterday,
    where I talked a lot of things that I do on good days,
    but,
    none of them had a mention of bad days that are there too,
    so here it goes…

    There are a few days when I return home late from work,
    around 10 at night from work,
    and I am tired and hungry,
    Confused from all the piled-up responsibilities,
    and deadlines that were supposed to be met but weren’t…

    All of the work comes crashing,
    and then it’s on me to complete it,
    or get it completed asap,
    even though the timelines as usual were impossible to achieve,
    making it a race against time as usual,
    making it possible someday,
    but other days its miserable…

    When I return home around 10 at night,
    the usual routine takes a hit,
    the tiredness takes over,
    and Lethargy follows,
    the schedule which is used to take half an hour at most,
    takes around an hour,
    hour and a half on worse days…

    The night shower is spent in contemplating what if’s,
    and how would the deadlines be met the next day,
    and before I can look up at the clock it turned 11 PM,
    so,
    I hurry and get out of the bath and plate my dinner,
    and have it while watching some videos or something informative,
    and before I could peel myself away from the screen,
    it was 11:45 at night..

    After which I tidy my room a bit,
    which pushes the time well after 12 Am,
    and when I look at the clock,
    it stuck 00:15 hours,
    hurriedly I get in my bed,
    and guess what,
    I CAN’T SLEEP ANYMORE.
    spending another 15 to 30 minutes changing sides,
    trying to fall asleep…

    All of this continues on until 1 in the morning,
    on bad days until 2 in the morning,
    which makes it impossible to wake up at 6 or 7 usually in the morning,
    So,
    I wake up at 8 or 8:30 in the morning,
    making,
    it that sort of a day,
    a messed-up start,
    repercussions of which follow throughout the day…

    Shouldn’t this day be Friday already…?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    There are many strategies that I employ to make my life more comfortable,
    well not just mental comfort but my physical comfort too…

    Daily Journaling…

    One of the things that I do each day is by writing about it in my journal,
    and each day I read the last one,
    helping me determine the habits that I have,
    and which of them make my life better,
    or provide me an insight that helps me to avoid something that disrupts it…

    Basking and Meditation…

    On waking up,
    I go to my balcony and look at the sunlight,
    or the natural light peering through the clouds,
    which reminds me that the sleep is finally over as I spend a few minutes in the sunlight,
    someday sitting down on a mat in the balcony and meditating and reflecting on the day ahead,
    the types of work I have to involve myself in,
    and the roles I have to play this day…

    Clean living atmosphere…

    One of the most important things is to have a clean environment,
    this isn’t just about having clean surroundings or your vicinity,
    but my room is where it all begins from,
    a clean room,
    which isn’t messy,
    and the soft lighting that imitates the sunlight is used to illuminate my room;
    This simplifying of my environment makes it much easier to live a life that feels fulfilling and worth living tbh…

    Getting to bed early…

    Getting my good 7-8 hours of sleep,
    even if it means getting to bed and falling asleep at ten maybe 11 at night,
    because a good sleep helps me wake up refreshed,
    and with new ideas that help me on the daily,
    living this fast-paced life at my own pace,
    and with that sleeping in early comes in waking up early to involve myself in some physical activity like walking or taking a stroll around the building complex,
    which boosts my metabolism and gives me a chance to be one with nature early in the morning…

    These are some of the ways I increase comfort and at the same time better my life with the help of options that suit me the best..!

    What are you most excited about for the future?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    Would it be weird if I told you I’m not at all excited about the future,
    I really have zero hopes from the future and there is nothing worse than having to face the future and its consequences,
    yes,
    the negative ones too even though all I’m trying to do is live my life in peace without disrupting others…

    Does this make any sense…?

    Does it make sense when I say,
    that when I step into the future by leaving away the present,
    and remembering how i was treated by it in the past,
    each day the flame of having a better vision of tomorrow dwindles…

    The day off feels like a few hours clumped together,
    and within that it feels like someone snatches away half of them,
    the day off feels like a burden,
    rather than being a source of relaxation,
    and the work that has supposedly piled up during other days of the week,
    seems to hit all at once,
    and leaving me with no time,
    for myself,
    or my hobbies,
    or my friends,
    or even a calm night away from anyone/everyone,
    making the week more miserable than the last…


    Something that seems like an impossible feat to cover,
    this week,
    these past few weeks,
    these past few months,
    these past few years…
