    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    A not so cold Thursday morning it is, honest to G0d I slept in shorts and a single T and even then I was feeling hot in the blanket so you know what I did; I put one of my legs outside and the rest of my body was in the blanket…

    Haha 🤣

    The morning walk was brisk and good and I met the street dogs as usual and I will remember to carry some dog biscuits for them tomorrow morning…!

    Also;

    I wrote a question on my WhatsApp status and got good answers too,

    It was

    What counts as a fulfilling marriage to you…?

    And I got soo many responses;

    it was crazy to jus keep up with them…

    It would be great if I could get some answers so I can come up with a post late tonight about this topic as I’m working on it right now…!

    A fulfilling marriage indeed, is it supposed to be fulfilling according to you…?

    Making your pet understand one thing…!

    It’s such a beautiful prompt that all of the pet owners have something that they want to let their pets(well in some cases their children) known…!

    They want to make them understand that they are loved,

    And basic things like you shouldn’t poop in the house like the couch or the carpet, outside would be good …!

    We go to work to earn money for treats and the shoes that we own aren’t toys because they cost an arm and a leg maybe the whole left side(considering the amount of shoes my dogs have chewed till this date…)

    For me,

    The most important thing would be a dual question…!

    The first would be,

    What was the dream in which you started to shake which happens once every blue moon…?

    I’d like to decipher and protect them and let the entire world know how can we help them and prevent it…!

    It was a dream and dreams are not real is what I’d like to make them understand, and they are safe within this warm house and in our embrace…!

    Another one would be something that is selfish on all our part(Most of our part…)

    We(each of us pet owners) would like to apologise to them, for pulling them away from their mothers…!

    This is a guilt that we all carry in our subconscious, I know;

    Well one of my dogs is a rescue because their mom passed to the world beyond this one and she left her child infront of our door and in the morning, and we found her breathing her last breath infront of us because she was poisoned by someone…!

    Cruel world…!

    So we took her in and embraced her as a part of our family, and she lives happily with us…!

    These two questions(one question and another statement) are something that I’d definitely ask/tell them…!

    What’s your dream job?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    It’s a calm Tuesday morning and I feel a bit better about today, because I already have in control what all I have to do at work today;

    It usually is predictable; for example I have to finish a specific task like there are 476 pcs that needs to be chamfered on a single side and I think it will take around two and a half hour maybe three but it shouldn’t take any more than that;

    And after that I’m getting onto a turning job that has been sitting on for so long that a layer of dust has formed on the raw material;

    Which I plan to finish by this day’s end too,

    After that I will go to some regular task like making some material that goes out on the regular…!

    Enough chatter about work,

    Well it was a nice intro to the type of work that I do, but it seem a lot more easy looking from an outside pov but when it comes to doing an actual industrial job; it really breaks your back and gives you so much more challenges that you have to keep on thinking to make it work…!

    Coming back to the prompt…

    My dream job…!

    Let me begin by saying that, there’s no chance and no amount of money that will get me to dream about a job…!

    Well those would be nightmares that can have me sitting in a confined space and make we work…!

    No other way 😂

    Let’s not steer away from the prompt—

    A real dream job would be to be free enough to work on things that I like,

    I mean having a cup of tea/coffee and sitting in mountains somewhere, where I would have a place called home and in such environment I am free enough to come up with much better posts and stories than what I do right now..!

    (Some of it is also dependent on seeing people and the type of things that happen around me sparking a change within me…)

    Because most of my time is eaten away by work 10+hours daily(good days)

    And the remaining is spend in driving to and fro, some additional work that pops up, hanging out at my usual tea shop, forming ideas and thoughts into what becomes a post;

    (Sometimes they just take up memory in my phone…!)

    But all of that happens for a reason and that’s what I say to myself and keep on working even if it seems tedious to someone who looks from outside…!

    Just like now,

    I’m working on this post and having a conversation with a friend and helping my sister open an account online…!

    Multitasking is the way to go when these 24 hours seem short, shorter than what they usually seemed to be earlier…!

    A dream job would be that I’m free from tracking these 24 hours and I’m in a space that I can work on things I like while also working with my hands occasionally;

    Which keeps me grounded and helps me earn a bit too while also helping those who are working for me…!

    A dream job that employs people and gives them enough that their life becomes easier would be the best…!

    If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

    Hey

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    A calm Sunday morning it is; I have some guests over and we spent the night eating and talking about our life;

    We talked about their lives in Ambala, Haryana and how connected they are to the nature because they are surrounded by fields that have plantations of wheat, sugarcane, other crops and hay all year round…!

    They were talking about how breathing is easier and how they just ask their neighbours and they allow them to take something that they need from the fields that have grown fully;

    They had spinach a few weeks back and they said it was absolutely delicious…!

    Ooh to live this chaotic life behind and be one with nature…!

    But all of this comes with a price;

    Nothing is near,

    They have to travel 30-45 kilometres to reach their workplace and travel the same distance back to their homes;

    Also, the shops are a few kilometres away from their place of residence a they need to have a two wheeler to travel back and fro even for basic things…!

    The boon and bane of living in a Pind(rural hometown)…!

    Coming back to the prompt

    Un-inventing something…?!

    Hmm; this got me thinking,

    There are things like nuclear bombs that are bad;

    but;

    We are finding good use of them in nuclear power plants that provide a safer form of electricity;

    A non renewable source but its low carbon emissions help our short term goals…!

    So,

    A perfect thing to un-invent; (well I wouldn’t call it un-invent) I’ll search the word later;

    I would remove homelessness;

    It an inverse sense it would mean to make housing affordable for the unfortunate;

    Because there are a lot of things associated with a house, your Id cards, your workplace requires you to have a house to send your paycheque, your bank requires you to have a house where they can send you bank documents like cards and such…!

    Basically your survival is dependent on you having a roof over your head and when even that isn’t available the survival becomes extremely tricky…!

    So making housing affordable,

    Or by un-inventing the insatiable greed that humans have; we would be a great success from the bottom up…!

    Cold winter mornings and some words from my heart…

    Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    A cold Saturday morning that started at 7:34 AM for me, I found myself surrounded by my electronics A tablet, my phones and cables;

    I don’t remember when and how I fell asleep last night without putting my devices on charging and I am waking up with 12% on this device and 15% on the other one…!

    Let’s leave it at that…!(Wait no let me put them at charge first…)

    A Saturday it is and I hope you are in your beds have a quilt over you that is providing much needed warmth in this cold harsh winter morning…!

    There are a few people in my group that become addicted to Old Monk as soon as winter starts to hit them, some just bring one or two bottles of Morpheus(enough to last the whole winter) and take a sip of it in hot water as soon as they start to feel under the weather (Dawa Daaru…) 🥴

    And then there are people like me who just sit in their beds and fall asleep just like that and run on sheer dedication without the support of any external forces to guide them, and when we get sick(Rarely) it usually means running to doctors and pharmacies to get our medicine…!

    This in no way advocates that drinking is good for your health; there are things that won’t ever be good for your health—

    drinking and smoking being a few of them…!

    Coming back to the prompt…!

    A positive example of when I’ve felt loved…!

    How can I say this, but I’ve always been on the short end of the stick; I’ve seen people feel emotional and talk their heart out to me;

    Trust me with their secrets, found acceptance and answers that they weren’t ready for yet…!

    I’ve been the support system for many;

    Some of who are still in contact with me, some who aren’t they too have turned out to be vibrant people; living their life to the fullest and I’m really happy for them…!

    I’ve helped people come out of their slumps, talked them into giving another chance at love and found their partner;

    But;

    Never I’ve been on the long end of the stick,

    I’ve always been the one who lends an ear, hears their heart out, their secrets that will stay with me until the end of me;

    And that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had my share of love;

    I’ve had support of my best friends, my cousins and a loved one who I parted ways years ago; due to reasons….;

    Let’s not go there, it’s supposed to be a happy scenario that we have to paint here…!

    I’ve truly felt loved by someone who stays within this heart even though the distance between us has become too far now;

    Their embrace, their way of talking, the whole person they were they were loved;

    And when that person went from my life it was a wound that never filled…

    The loved ones can even be your family who look after you,

    A brother who works hard to make everything happen in the background,

    A mother who prepares meals for you, checks up on your well being when she sees you down,

    A sister who always awaits you, waiting to talk to you, is ready for your defense and even fights those who bring dirt to your name,

    A father who loves you but can’t express it…!

    Maybe you’re surrounded by love,

    but,

    you only want it if it’s coming from a single person,

    And that person isn’t that interested in you…?

    A dangerous situation to be in it would be…!

    In what ways do you communicate online?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Yes, a Lohri update is due and I plan on doing that here itself because a lot of it was extended late until 12 am and I usually go to sleep by 11 or 11:30 pm at night…!

    It was a usual work day and I returned home around 9 pm after making a pit stop to buy milk and some other daily household supplies…!

    As soon as I reached home I assembled the bowl in which we put all of the stuff to offer it to the flame that we light earlier…

    These were the main Ingredients that we bought I know there are a lot of varieties and somewhere within the mix are hidden poha(flattened rice) and til(sesame seeds)…

    We bought all of these things above; if I were to explain rewdi it would be a crisp brittle candy made out of sugar or jaggery coated with sesame seeds…!

    After putting it in the bowl we started to prepare the actual bonfire…!

    We took a deep dish in which people mix cement, and turned it into a hack of a bonfire because the place around is surrounded by marble and a few years back it actually broke the bonfire as it got heated up real quick and cooled down as the temperature reached 5 degrees celsius the next morning…

    The base of it is made using a cloth in which was wrapped camphor and we used matches to light it and thankfully the wood that we had were dry as a bone they lit up real quick…!

    A few additional participants this Lohri…!

    Our dog a beagle he was an active participant chewing on the peanuts and popcorn, he really liked rewdi and went to each one is us to have one…!

    And when the wood caught on fire we took seven rounds around it while we put sesame seeds in it;

    We took a handful of it and walked around the fire while putting it in the fire bit by bit until the rounds completed…!

    And as soon as the seven rounds were over we took both handful of the rewdi, popcorn and peanuts and ate some of it and put the rest gradually in the fire…!

    After that we sat around the fire by putting chairs and took the warmth all within us as we snacked on the tri-mix until we were joined by our neighbour and they sat with us and we talked for hours upon hours about life and happening…!

    Yes the litter around is of the tri mix and the flames were roaring more than usual…!
    One of our dogs a beagle who enjoyed the warmth and snacks from the hands that fed him…!
    Another one of our dogs, a street dog that we rescued and took in; looking up at us with those eyes in a hope that they will grant her with some peanuts…!
    I don’t think you can see it but we did put in a few potatoes wrapped in foil; Do let me know if you can find all five of them…!

    Which I almost forgot about…!

    In what ways do I communicate online…?

    Well, communication should happen that’s what matters to me we can talk over text, maybe direct message, WhatsApp, telegram, Instagram chat and so much more more…!

    Any way that feels comfortable to the other person is suitable for me;

    I used to chat on discord with people who formed a group after an app that I was regular on shut down…!

    I prefer to discuss all of it on call because of my business nature, but there are some things that happen over text and I respect the other person’s boundaries too…!

    (Because I’ve been on both the sides…!)

    A meaningful conversation happens any-way when we begin to talk;

    The only problem is that I cannot have a conversation to kill time or pass it just because I’m bored or they’re bored…!

    Maybe that is something that I’d have to look for improving in myself,

    But other than that,

    I’m almost all times open to converse even on topics that spark fear…!

    What snack would you eat right now?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Another week is upon us and all of us are hitting the work hard, if you’re reading this while sitting in the cubicle, you have to know your life that exists is outside this box;

    And the work that you are doing maybe it’s moving mails here and there; it’s crucial to someone because it gives you a paycheque weekly or monthly…!

    I know you must be dead tired returning to work but someone has to do what you do right;

    And if not you then who…?

    And,

    Yes we were born with a duty that we are supposed to work to earn our feed and also for those who are dependent on us;

    And I’d like to ask you,

    What is your source of inspiration to keep on working…?

    Maybe it’s to keep on affording things that you already own, maybe you’re saving for a child that is about to bless your life, maybe it’s a push towards parenthood,

    Or maybe it’s a dog or a cat that gives you company and you work for them and you have someone to return home to…!

    A big talk of dependency that happened in the above paragraph and let us not steer away from from the prompt of the day that is-

    A snack that I would eat right now…?

    Now isn’t that convenient…!

    It’s 9:30 in the morning as I’m writing this, and I’m planning to have some right now…!

    And that was postponed because I got a haircut and now I’m sitting at home and it’s 10:10 am…!

    Well I am about to have my morning snack I.e. coffee and one of the brownies that I brought last night from a friend’s cafe…!

    Which I paid in full(even if the business owner is my friend) , remember he’s your friend but business is business, if he voluntarily gives you some discount you don’t deny it, but ask them if giving a discount works for them, only if you’re going to be a repeated customer there…

    Always pay your friend in full, and if possible buy something extra because it eventually goes to helping your friend…!

    Yup this morning’s coffee and brownie that I’m having as I’m going to write and edit all of this…!

    Well, if you’d ask me this during afternoon it would be a sub from a cafe that’s near my workplace during a workday…!

    And at night the same would transform into something that I’d for sure have in my drawer that would be some pre packed roasted nuts maybe cashew or almonds or a tong gardens party snack mixture…!

    There is always some time that can be made for snacks,

    Can’t it…?

    What could you do differently?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    First thing it’s scary that it’s only Wednesday today when this could have already been a Thursday for me,

    And we are already first week into the new year as we speak…!

    Another lie that I cannot seem to believe at all…!

    Well I’ve felt that time flies past quickly these days; but I’ve never ever felt such haste…

    Coming to the prompt because thinking that makes me go crazy…!

    What could I do differently…?

    Another one of those broad questions of you ask me,

    I mean what i could to differently in life, at work, at relationships or what; the horizon is so broad…!

    Well for beginning,

    I want to be up early and stay awake for the some time and complete work that I’ve taken upon myself (writing short stories and some skits…)

    Second would be to have enough energy left to join a gym after work because that is something I want to involve myself in…

    Third would be to be more active and great at conversation and keeping up either my friendships and relationships that I have with people (both in and outside of work…)

    The last would be to be a better person than who I am right now, because there is suffering that I see around me, but I’m not that loaded that I can help everyone that I see;

    So I just want to be in a better place so that I can help those around me, well if not strangers I’d be happy to help those who are a part of my family by helping them get up on their feet and give them a much needed boost that will pull them out of their slow and stagnant life…(only if they need my help…)

    There are many things that can be done differently, much of it depends on the perspective of self and those who is affected by the change isn’t it…?

    Well to a better future shall we tread…!

    If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?

    Hey…!

    I hope all of you are doing well …!

    There’s something that I want to try,

    I don’t know what time zone all of you are in but, my last post which I made by sheer accident late at night got many likes and views,

    So I’m trying something that makes absolutely no sense right now, but nothing hurts if it gives the content that I write a boost…!

    Well,

    When it will be uploaded,

    Most of my day would be already over,

    And I’d be home probably trying to have dinner or already in my bed that I cleaned this morning trying to sleep…!

    Coming back to the prompt,

    A freeway billboard(first time I’m hearing this because there are no such things here in India…)

    But I guess it would be either promoting my business or this writing work that I do;

    I know there are many billboards that also play videos;

    Maybe I could make an advert to promote safe driving by making an ad that tells to not drink and drive;

    Or,

    Another one would be to be on a proper sleep before driving because that causes a lot of accidents ;

    It wouldn’t truly be mine without having something in writing that separates my content from others;

    So it would be catchy;

    An unusual coffee date…!

    Extremely tiresome it was as I was returning home,

    Gruelling hours put in a job that made my life miserable,

    And I hate myself for being stuck in a rut,

    That made me question the choices that left me in such a place;

    Home was still a few hours away,

    As I stood at that light waiting for it to turn green,

    So that I could drive to an empty home,

    Eat the food and maybe try to sleep in early,

    But I knew I was kidding myself;

    As I looked around,

    I found a rustic cafe,

    And from the see-through partially tinted windows I saw,

    I saw a set of eyes,

    Those eyes scanned the world running away from it;

    As I stared into those,

    They looked like pools of honey in the warm light of the cafe,

    After a while,

    Our eyes matched and she stared back at her cup,

    After looking at the empty seat she stared back outside;

    A stranger’s eyes were better than staring at an empty seat they thought,

    So, I made a U-turn,

    Parked my car and went into the cafe,

    As our eyes met,

    She looked at the chair in front of her and those eyes told me to take a seat;

    As I sat,

    And placed an order of flat white while she sipped on her coffee,

    It was supposed to be a date but he ditched me,

    Something came up,

    “Of course it does…”

    But I’m grateful for that;

    A few things came to our office too,

    That’s the sole reason I stayed late and left at such an odd hour,

    As she took another sip,

    The waiter brought me my flat white;

    Before I could,

    She told me to wait a moment,

    Because they serve it extremely hot,

    On sipping I burnt my lip and tongue,

    But I played it off;

    As she stared at me,

    Thinking it didn’t hurt,

    But deep down she knew it did,

    And enquired about it,

    I tried to refuse but my face told her the truth;

    In that moment of laughter and cheerfulness,

    She told me,

    “It feels good that she was ditched now..”

    As I let out a little laughter,

    And told her,

    “Maybe things do happen for good…”

    Like me returning from my 9-to-5 job at 8:30 at night;

    “You still have it well,

    I used to work where they forced us to work overnight” she told me

    There we were,

    Trauma dumping,

    laughing at each other’s miseries,

    Letting out a few laughs,

    And then sipping on our coffees;

    As it was our last sip,

    Out of nowhere I wanted to do a toast,

    As I raised my cup,

    And held our fate hostage;

    “Cheers on being ditched, Yet finding someone to have a coffee with so late at night…!”

    A laughter then another,

    As she shed a few tears thinking about her fate,

    And thanked me for making her night one to remember…

    As we walked outside,

    A ride waited for her that was supposed to take her home,

    She shared her number and told me to call her when I reached home,

    And after G0d knows how many years,

    I waited,

    And waited to reach home…!

    In a Loud World, Find Someone Who Listens

    What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    It’s another Sunday and I hope you went to bed sooner than you expected;

    You won’t believe the response that I got from people they believed that it would be better to just stay in, spend some time with their family or stay indoors maybe with a friend after grabbing a bottle, sharing it and crashing at their place or letting them crash at your place;

    This was more of a response I got;

    Some were like my parents aren’t home so I will spend the night with my boyfriend/girlfriend and there were a few who decided to go out to drink or have food…!

    A wild change has been brought by the year 2026 into the lives of people that live around us;

    Maybe a change was indeed needed, to be self introspective and knowing who is right and who to keep alongside you and people are doing that this year;

    Filtering and cutting their circle to a few good people instead of a bunch of people who show up just because they get a free treat out of you…!

    Coming back to the prompt;

    What would be the greatest gift someone could ever give me…?

    For me it would be their Trust and Genuine presence;

    Imagine knowing someone and you fully trust them with your secrets, your life and anything that goes on in it;

    And when something goes wrong they show up to put you in your arms and gently bring you from a scary place back into this world;

    I really have to thank the almighty for putting someone like that in my life;

    They have been a sort of pillar in my life that I can take support of when nothing else is going right and they also guide me when nothing is going right in my life;

    One of the most important things;

    They become a place where I can freely say out things without being judged and they let me know when I’m in the right headspace or not;

    And they always listen to me keenly whenever or whatever I have to speak about;

    The last part is extremely important;

    And there aren’t many who just listen to you, because this is a fast paced world and everyone has their priorities,

    But can you imagine having someone like that…!

    I’m extremely blessed…!

    Also this goes both ways,

    If you want to be with a person who has all of this qualities, you will have to be one such person beforehand;

    By being someone like that before you will find yourself in a place where you will help people out too by hearing them and providing them with comfort and then you will find yourself in a place where you are surrounded by many such people who are like that…!

    With that being said,

    Their trust and genuine presence in your life would be the optimum answer for this prompt…!

    Take it slowly it’s a Sunday morning, I know you are going to wake up late and then contemplate your day maybe your life later;

    But,

    Find someone to talk to, a genuine connection;
