Monday mornings and habits that I’ve quitted…!

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

A cold Monday morning that feels unreal because I slept wrong 😑

Woke up with a back pain and sore throat and a reminder to self that I am not going to drink anymore…!

One of my friends got me a bottle of Jamun vodka(black plum) Smirnoff and we downed half of the bottle with a few cans of sprite that we had;

Remind me to never drink ever again…!

We rarely get together and when we do, we discuss a whole lot of things and this is our way to connect over some drinks and cheering each other after getting to know the moments in life that we endured…!

Activities or hobbies that I’ve grown out of…!

There are many a things I’ve grown out of in this life; firstly I used to drink each weekend and I’ve tried to cut back on that habit, even though I don’t drink anymore, there are some occasions or a gathering where I take a few but nothing I can’t control…!

And because of this drinking habit that I had in the past I had a hobby of collecting new and rare bottles of alcohol;

And whenever; wherever I went, I used to buy a few bottles of drinks to remember the trip by them…!

Going away from the drinking game—

I used to have a habit of visiting a place of worship 🛐, but I was really forced as a teenager to be a part of the religion where we worship a figure of authority; A wish that all of the things that haunt us or cause us harm might go away wish just bowing to a stone figurine;

It all went away when I reached adulthood and embraced that the world is huge and it doesn’t necessarily depend on me bowing down infront of some figure or a scripture but it depends on how I carry myself and how I act instead…!

How religion or religious beliefs were over for me as soon as I gained adult consciousness…!

One of the other activities that I’ve halted is tolerating bs from people who are unknown to me;

I’ve stopped caring for people who come in to interject anything and everything because walking away from such people is a better option to choose than to argue with someone on the street or when you’re sitting down with someone in an open space…!

Stop tolerating is the idea above…!

Favourite candies and coming to terms with life…!

What’s your favorite candy?

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

It’s a Sunday and I hope you wake up well rested today and this prompt finds you in the best of your health…!

There is a lot that went on my mind yesterday and no matter how hard I tried I wasn’t able to put my 100% focus at work, all I could was remember Milky(May his soul rest in peace) and because of that I woke up and had another dream today which I wrote in my notes app…!

Maybe some of the dreams come to me when I am under different types of stresses and I’m incapable to process them but, I did talk to myself about that and know that the circle of life works this way only,

Maybe we work through our lives everyday to prepare ourselves for the new life that exists after this one ceases…!?

Maybe all of this is a test and prepares us and makes us strong enough to look at death in the face and embrace it like it’s someone/something that we knew all along…!

Too much talks about the cease of existence makes me sound a bit too optimistic about it, because some think of life as a trap and the release from it to be the true reality…!

Imagine returning to a place where you stay with all the souls on a standby and your place stays empty for a while; (A while being 70-80 years for some…)

And when you return to your original home you are content and happy to be with those who have stayed with you for an eternity…!

This couldn’t have come at a right time because a lot of the things are going on in these days the first week of February leading to the Valentine’s Day..!

Well there is a vast difference between sugar candy and chocolate confectionery and let me draw this line that we are strictly talking about candy(sugar candy) only…!

Because all of us remember eating eclairs and melody all through our childhood and that is something that I love too…!

Melody that we all love and still can’t answer the question (Melody inti chocolaty kyon hai…?)

I hope all of you remember eating this as you got it as a gift from birthday boy or girl during your schooling years…!

Yes,

These two would take the spot for me as one of the most favourite candies that I love…!

And a lot of memories are attached to these two too…!

Tragic news and a break from the prompt…

Do you need a break? From what?

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

Well I thought so much about this prompt on my morning walk with my sister, but all of it came to a halt—

As we feed the street dogs their breakfast, a mix of dog food and milk and some other things in between..!

One of the dogs in excitement jumped from the fourth floor apartment complex’s terrace;

As I was away from her she called me on my phone and rushed towards her, and on reaching a car took the white street dog which we brought up with our own hands as their mother died infront of us an year and a half back;

I cannot think anything straight today…

I don’t know what happens ahead but my sister says that Milky (name of the injured dog) was shallow breathing in-front of her and his eyes were starting to dry up…!

And I just got the news he is no more with us…!

Ooh it hurts so much when someone who cannot speak and gives us love goes away like this..!

On top of that it is my sister’s birthday today and this is how the news came to us…!

And we got the news that they have taken to cremate him;

Oh it feels too hard on the mind and soul to continue anything anymore,

But the sweet embrace of death is something that all soul has to taste once in their life…!

May his soul rest in peace and have a better path in their next life…!

Basant and talks about inventions that move generations…

The most important invention in your lifetime is…

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well..!

6th of February and a Friday;

Most of the people on the other side of the Panjab now called Pakistan are celebrating Basant…

Where kites are flown and people celebrate the end of winter and welcome the spring that is upon us all;

Worshipping goddess Saraswati and wear yellow clothes, make yellow rice(sweet) and flying kites…!

And after and 18 year ban on kite flying in Lahore, Pakistan was lifted this year we have seen people gathered to fly kites and to my astonishment,

I saw rooftops for rent for a couple of hours in Lahore as they removed their solar panels and the rates are going from a few lakhs to 25 lakhs for the rooftops…!

An astonishing thing to hear and see…!

Anyway happy Basant panchmi to those who are celebrating…!

There are many things that came up within my lifetime…

One of the most important things are smartphones and the Internet…!

Also,

The worlwide web being the source which helps me to be connected to the world…!

If it weren’t for the web I wouldn’t have developed and nurtured to be the person who I am today;

because a lot of things that I research and think made me who I am today and web made it happen as the information that I needed was readily available at my fingertips…!

And my phones how can I ever forget them, these help me upload all of the things that come to my mind making it one of the most important things that help me note and save all the thoughts that come to my mind; also stay connected to the world in a way of direct and video calls…!

The new and upcoming craze of electric vehicles is something that happened within my lifetimes as many people are adopting the shift and it helps the nature too but we can’t ignore the fact that a very major chunk of pollution is generated by the extremely wealthy as they use planes and such to travel even short distances emitting more pollution than an average person would in their whole lifetime…

Now that is something that grinds my gears…!

An ideal day and some exciting news…!

Describe your most ideal day from beginning to end.

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

Another cool morning its said to be 10 degree Celsius; waking up at 7:14 with an alarm that I set for 7 AM made me realise I felt colder than it should…!

As I went to use the bathroom and brush my teeth after putting my phones on charging;

I thought about today’s prompt, what it would be and how would I write all about it…!

And on seeing this prompt at 7:33 it felt like it’s been ages since I’ve lived one of the ideal days…!

There’s something I want to share with you, my sister’s friend bought a new car and she came to our home last night to show us the car and we were overjoyed when we saw her car and I quickly ordered a few chocolates as a gift from blink-it it was a Ferrero Rocher and a Cadbury one; I ordered a air freshner for her car too but that guy couldn’t reach me because his two wheeler’s engine seized like 10 minutes away from me so he made me cancel the order…!

It is a Kia Sonet and it’s white in color…!

We are more happy for her because she grew up infront of us and now she’s become a person who practices law under a senior lawyer and works hard to make everyone around her happy…!

A noble soul she is…!

An ideal day for me

It would be to wake up well rested at 7 am…!

And after waking up it would be great to get a nice walk or a workout in that lasts maybe forty five minutes to an hour that keeps me energetic throughout the day…!

Then it would be writing one of these prompts which takes around an hour and a half at max and then it would be great to go to work and everything happens according to a predicted schedule and all the outcomes that were thought were reached and the work day ended at 5 maybe 5:30 or last 6 in the evening nothing more than that…!

After reaching home some plans were already made and I reached there on time and me and my friends hung out, got some snacks and then reached home safely…!

At home I had my mom and my sister waiting for me and I had a good dinner with them, maybe outside maybe at home and then we took a walk outside and then hit the bed…!

A day well spent it would’ve been to acknowledge all those who made me who I am today and their constant unwavering support which pushed me into the direction which i love today…!

An ideal day it would be…!

Three major life events and a morning walk partner…!

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

A cool Wednesday morning it is and I woke up by the air purifier hitting my face with cold air that it blew at my face, the time was 7:56 as that’s the time I saw on my phone and watching the 71% battery on it made me breathe a sigh of relief…!

And I went for a morning walk with my dog and it was amazing;

There are so many things that we see, giving us perspective on life too, as we see people from walks of life, making it an interesting thing to observe too…!

And, now I have to clean my room as I’ve returned home at 8:58 hours…!

But,

The morning walks makes it better as a fresh perspective is taken in the morning and it helps me think about things in a different way than what I usually am sitting within these four walls…!

Life events and its influence on our lives

This topic came on the right time,

As many things are happening around me as life unfolds infront of me…

A marriage

It usually looks like two people getting together just to live together and have a kid in the near future but that’s the perspective from the outside;

But, when looked at from the vision of the couple- the man, the woman or whoever is your significant other is—

It gives you a whole different perspective as they aren’t just tying knots, they are marrying each other and it involves understanding the nature and the quirks that your partner has and adapting to things they don’t like and providing them with love and care that they need…!

Well this isn’t understood by someone who isn’t married or doesn’t plan to get married anytime soon and it’s their choice…!

You get to understand a person in real time and unfurl them in a way that gives you understanding who they are and why is it the way they are…!

People just call it marriage and that’s what their mind lacks to think and believe…!

Childbirth

One of the most crucial thing- that welcomes parenthood and shapes you in a way when the peaceful nights turn sleepless as the newly born child needs attention and your support…

It’s very tricky in the first place as not all of the conceptions end up in having a child and there are many helpless parents that are working hard to have a child of their own; and when things don’t work out adoption becomes an option…!

And this continuous tries to have one of your own pulls the love out of intimacy..!

Yes you might not have heard that but tracking your ovulation days and being ready on a specific day/(s) kills the spontaneity and turns it stressful and a task that requires accomplishment instead of being fun and full of joy…!

(If you know this I’m sorry for you and I hope you have a child of your own someday…!)

And viewing this from the outside it feels like something you can’t care about,

But when you are in the shoes of such a person you come to know the real meaning of having a child and when you’re blessed with one, it feels like the almighty rewarded you with something of a miracle themselves..!

Death

Yes, one of the things that makes us who we are and prepare us for the world beyond this one, the sweet embrace of death,

Something that all of us have in common that we have to taste it once and we will never know when it will be our turn, but the fact that this is the common thing that all of us share and have kept on sharing and will do until our end…!

It breaks a person if it’s close to you, your S/o, your father ,mother, brother or sister…!

It hurts to a such a degree that sometimes the pain and suffering becomes unbearable and the person takes their own life as it becomes unbearable to live a life without them…!

I’ve seen people do that and leave behind kids that were underage, some were working;

It wasn’t something of a Sui(ide but the loss becomes unimaginable and the person gives up on living their lives and then something happens; their car swerved out of control, they fell and the blood loss was too much—

“They cherished each other so much that they couldn’t live without each other” that’s what they say after it happens;

But, the love that they had for each other couldn’t be shaken or taken apart…!

It might feel like it was a long read but it was necessary and worthy of each word as anytime any one of the above happens it becomes a life altering experience and changes us and our core…!

A conversation with a long term friend and writing from different perspectives…!

Something on your “to-do list” that never gets done.

Hey

I hope all of you are doing well…!

A cold Tuesday morning with a chance of rain by four and five pm in the evening…!

This day started out on a different note, I was on a conversation with a person who I liked and we talk for around two hours checking up on each other and getting to know what all happened with them and what was going on in their lives;

We discussed our lives and the plans that we had and some details that I’d like to keep a secret and a few other things and it was two in the morning before I looked at the digital clock in my room…!

So, I slept like a log and woke up after I broke out my dream at 8 in the morning…!

I know this dream world of mine has been an interesting read but,

Most of the time it feels like the entirety of the world dreams and I’m not far away from them but,

this remembering of the dreams and penning them down, I think this doesn’t happen much with everyone…!

And I don’t have a control over this dream world or my dreams because they happen on their own;

Some days I wake up peacefully and some days I look for my phone and pen down each and every thing I did or said in my dreams…!

I don’t know the percent of people do this but all in I think it becomes a nice addition to my journal and gives me a fresh perspective and helps me look deep into the life that I live also perspectives different from what I have..!

A task that is stuck on my to-do list

There are things that exist on my to do list there a few things that I take a stab at, making it one of the most enjoyable tasks that I do in my life;

By uncovering perspectives and insights that help me be a person that has the ability to explore, understand and speak about any topic that is thrown at me…!

There are a few tasks like cleaning my room that exist on them which do take a long time to come true but they eventually do happen and then I look at the clean room and feel that the only mess remaining in my room is myself…!

And there are other things like buying something(maybe an essential item or getting an old thing repaired like washing machine or my microwave…)

Because the electronics do go bad after five years, that’s how much the warranty company claims and it goes bad a few months after a five year mark…!

How carefully designed piece of equipment that goes bad as soon as the company warranty wears off…!

Another one of things is writing from a different gender’s pov and that is somewhat of a challenge that exists on my to do list because there are n number of ways that things can go wrong so I have to think twice as hard and work four times hard to make it sound like it was written by a person having masculine or feminine traits…!

Many things and challenges exist on my to do list and achieving them is one for the things that I live for…!

Being true to yourself and having a hearty meal…!

What’s your favorite thing to cook?

Hey…!

I hope all of you are doing well…!

It’s already a Monday today as I’m writing this on a calm yet chaotic morning and the time is 8:37 and I can picture in my mind what my day will be like today…!

Running here and there in chaos trying to get things done and on top of that managing everything that happens today to prepare myself for a tomorrow that will for sure come as it always has…!

But, that’s life for all of you and within it we have to be ourselves and try to be the best version too;

And that doesn’t happen until and unless we are true with our thought and feelings ultimately true to ourselves as a person who lives breathes and tries to exist amongst all those who are on this Mother Earth…!

I’m pretty sure you’ve heard that not all fingers are of same length, there are people who thrive in chaos and there are some who try to be ways away from it;

A mixed world that we live in right now…!

My favourite thing to cook

There will be duality in today’s prompt for sure there will be men who will talk about things that they like to cook on specific occasions and then there will be women who will say that they cook all the time and they will talk about something they like to cook…!

Well, there isn’t much cooking that I do because most of the time I am busy at work or doing something but when push comes to shove;

I can make eggs, rice, a white gravy(base) which can be used to make anything after adding veggies and cottage cheese;

I can also make chicken which I learnt after many trial and errors, but it has been a while since I cooked it so I need to get a grip on it by cooking it once again…!

I think men should know how to cook too, because that’s how we understand the patience and the process that goes into cooking and it makes us blessed to receive a hearty meal that provides us with satiety and energy to work on things that need our attention…!

To a meal that all of us will be having today…!

Attempts to break my routine and my first computer…!

Write about your first computer.

Hey…!

I hope all of you are doing well…!

A gracious Sunday is upon us and within a few hours all of this day will be over 😂…

I’m not kidding, as we sit on our bed comfortably wrapped in a blanket all cozy, when we will wake up from our sleep it will be around 12 and after a few minutes of trying to wake up; we’ll actually feel like waking up and then run to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the plans that we made during the weekdays…

And it will be around 1 in the afternoon and then we’ll leave the house travel to where we need to be…!

The daylight is only left for another 5 hours or so and then the worry about the work that you have to do will set in…!

And prepare yourself for the week ahead—

All chaos;

Until you hit the bed and wake up on the Monday morning…! 😩

With the same expression as I made above because you have to live another week like the one you just spent last week…!

Well that is the life most of us are living right now; a sense of dread comes with living this monotonous so closely looped life which makes it extremely hard to break your cycle…!

But that’s what we have to do,

Break your routine each weekend,

Well at least try to shift from your monotonous routine if you go to a specific coffee shop each day and get the same drink, tell them that you want something else the next day, maybe a different flavour of coffee or switching the coffee to tea someday…!

Breaking the routine is one of the things that helps me think that I’m not in a continuous loop of time; where my choices differ each time making me think that I took a different thing that week and helping me remind that I’m not trapped in time…!

Enough chitter chatter…

My first computer

Well, I came from a joint family so there was nothing called mine, it was always our and our collective interests were seen and usually the elders needs were prioritised and their words were acted upon as usual…

But we were kids and we found it to our use as we used to play games and watch videos on YouTube until we got conscious and we started to use it for school work and surfing net to find things that were needed for school/college work…!

And in 2022 I got myself a personal laptop which I used a whole lot in the year and up until 2025 starting…!

After that I got myself a tablet and a couple of heavy devices like a Oneplus 12 and an iPhone which practically made laptop of no use up until this point…

Well there are people who will say that laptops and pc’s are still in use and I don’t deny that; there are things that are done there that aren’t available on these handheld devices…!

So they’re clearly not redundant, not for me not for everyone on this earth…!

Well when I have to move data or factory reset one of my phones I usually back up my data on laptop which makes owning one a crucial thing for someone who shifts devices once every two years or so…!

So their use is very much alive in my life and stays within my reach all the time…!

Fear of failure and another fear sparking dream…

What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

A Saturday morning and I woke up with a dream of which I wrote the highlights in my notes app which I will be sharing at the end of the prompt…!

Well it is very haphazardly written because that’s how I am as soon as I wake up…!

These dreams happen after intervals that are unpredictable but they are extremely immersive and I find them very astonishing and inspiring as they provide me a perspective that feels out of this world for me…!

And some days they are affected by what I watch before sleeping and something like that happens in my dreams, well not an exactly alike but on the same lines…!

Coming back to the prompt

Things that I’m scared of and what would get me to do it…!

There are things that bring me fear

I’m a human after all; even if some of us like to slowly tread near our fears until we have built a resistance and then one day do away with the thing that sparks the said fear…!

For me,

It would be the,

The fear of failure;

There is nothing that I fear more than falling off and not putting in enough efforts into things I like…!

There are places I want to be and I want my penmanship to be better than what I was yesterday;

And to achieve that I have to hit it daily which I do in an attempt to strike a cinder that can be used to light the fire that will carry on my name till the end of humanity or the end of me…!

And that process of continuously trying to find a vision when one of the thought has been penned down and brought into this world;

The quest of finding another concept or an idea is where the mind roams making it seemingly an easy task from the outside,

But;

After spending so much time in portraying this world into your words even a single day without a thought or a fixation feels like dread and until that isn’t found the life feels meaningless…!

So-

It all comes to trying;

Trying yet again to find an avenue that is unexplored or untravelled and when that happens;

The world seems an easy place to live in and a purpose is also derived out of the act of finding the right words and answers…!
