    What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?

    Hi…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    A luxury I can’t live without,
    Hmm,
    it really got me thinking,
    what are the luxuries that I own and use on a daily basis…

    Then the question comes,
    what are the things that you consider luxuries,
    do you consider a car or a bike to be luxury,
    or do you consider a laptop or a phone to be a luxury,
    do you consider the roof over your head to be a luxury or
    you consider all of the above things that are basic of the basic things…?

    Where I’m from,
    having a roof over your head is a luxury,
    but,
    having a car or a bike isn’t;

    having a laptop or a phone isn’t a luxury,
    but,
    having enough money to eat daily is a luxury…

    What do you think the division of power is?
    when one side is dying to barely afford 3 meals,
    and the other generate many times as waste,

    One side doesn’t get even the basic of necessities,
    like water and a place to bath and relieve themselves,
    but,
    The other has all of these things readily available at their disposal,
    whenever they want to;

    This type of thinking that sees a stark difference and is willing to make an observation,
    and an effort to expose those who oppress and keep them in conditions similar,
    even after working many times compared to others,

    This becomes a luxury in my case,
    As I see and try to make an effort to those who suffer unnecessarily,
    by helping them,
    those who want to be helped,
    and show a genuine need and want to be helped,
    to be pulled out of this cycle that their generations were trapped in…

    A luxury that comes when a silent observant being,
    sees and processes things differently,
    when others,
    they just go and lower their head or avert their eyes to not see,
    all the wrong that goes on…

    MAYBE YOUR LUXURY AND MY LUXURY DIFFERS VASTLY,
    AND THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US…!?

    A wish,
    in hope a child,
    from a family that isn’t well off,
    imagines…;

    A room,
    an entire room full of toys,
    as he stares into a passerby’s home,
    a family that is loving and caring,
    he imagines,
    Is all of this his fault…?

    Is this his fault,
    being born,
    born in a family that works so hard,
    yet,
    earns so little,
    is this his fault…?

    Is this dream of a room,
    a room as big as his house,
    in which four others live,
    is this his fault…?

    As he sees the crib,
    in which the child probably sleeps,
    as big as the broken and unkempt TV stand that we have,
    which doesn’t even cover a third of the room,
    Is all of this my fault…?

    Being born in a family that’s ridden with debt,
    a child,
    another one,
    that they brought into this world,
    to curse,
    to push into something,
    that isn’t even remotely as close as living good,
    where diseases are widespread and making past 10 is a blessing,
    is,
    is being born,
    being born in these conditions,
    in this situation,
    my fault…?

    “A blame no-one will take…”

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…

    I guess today’s prompt would work the best with those who are passing their 12th grade exams after which they’ll be going to attend the college of their choice that supports their streams.
    or entering into 11th grade where they have to make a choice between choosing their major,
    It would be between science, commerce or humanities…;

    As for me,
    my story is a really weird one,
    a commerce major,
    who scored in low eighties,
    and the type of education system we have,
    they cherish marks more than the individual’s abilities more,
    being a pass out of one of the better schools in my area,
    everyone had more expectations,
    BUT,
    Something that isn’t stressed is the family’s (WANTS AND DREAMS) to be on with their child’s….

    Choosing an unorthodox career path,
    and getting next to no support from them,
    not as a new found adult,
    but,
    monetary too,
    when I was promised it too,
    just because our dream didn’t align…

    SO,
    long story short,
    taking open courses,
    where i was handed out the syllabus and exams happened once a year without any classes to go to,
    And,
    on securing a bachelor’s degree in commerce all the while working in a family-owned industrial business,
    where working by hand was of utmost importance,
    (TO learn the basic things Because i wasn’t from the field…)

    Alongwith that I found this precious skill of being capable to pen down my thoughts and feelings,
    which has been growing ever since i started…

    So much to career plan,
    this and that…
    😂

    The feeling that this photo sparks is something that can’t be recreated,
    being there in a place that exists on this earth,
    but even heaven won’t be a match of it.
    My village Panjab,
    the greens of trees and still budding crops,
    The gold of fully ripe wheat takes my heart away,
    the pure white sunlight blessing all of these and helping them in reaching the right color and their ripeness,
    so,
    they shall be ready for harvest…
    A dream comes true
    all of it…

    What are your favorite brands and why?

    Hey…

    I hope you all are doing well…!

    The prompts these days are getting better and personal day by day,
    but,
    that gives us a chance to self reflect and retrospect,
    the things that we liked or helped us change our paths after finding out wrong or bad ones…

    For the brands that are my favorite,
    I generally prefer good quality clothes that are going to last me a while,
    even if I have to spend much on them initially,
    for example
    I’ll buy an Adidas T and track pants,
    and on the other hand,
    ill thrift some good quality t and lower that cost much less but they’ll give my me a fresh perspective with colors that aren’t available normally…

    I’m very picky about my shoes,
    let me tell you all this…

    Once I entered Zara and bought a shoe that had various colors,
    which appear clown like now,
    Once i entered a Levi’s store and bought a pair of black shoe and i still wear it till date,
    even if it’s past its expiration date…😂
    You’ll find a few nike(s),
    which I ROCK,
    along with that you will find some campus(es),
    which provide comfort and support to my foot all day long…!

    Being a tech savvy person,
    I have a laptop (Lenovo),
    using One plus phone( quality of which has deteriorated from the rigorous way i use it…)
    Because both of them are easy to navigate through,
    and help me get things done easy and faster than the competitors…

    This is more than enough details for the time being,
    I feel like exposing a layer of myself after writing this one,
    But,
    this shall live on with me and forever I shall remember them…

    The duality of life,
    having been on all four sides of this image,
    has given me perspective beyond life itself,
    1)waiting for my metro and to take this photo was a coincidence in itself,
    2)waiting for the metro with a certain someone that completes me,
    3)going away to those who help me live in this bitter life like the person in the left,
    and
    4)viewing this all from a perspective the person who was sitting right next to me
    who isn’t a part of this pic…!
