A daughter is always a daughter,
Doesn’t matter her age when it comes to these violent, crooked minded animals who commit these atrocities against these innocent souls and later blame it on what she wore or how she was revealing too much skin or how she was out late at night…!
A fear needs to put in our minds—
I used the word “our” because I come from the same gender who commits these atrocious acts against a girl, a woman and someone whom you could call your grandmother;
And,
The way these monsters roam free after committing an act that should be repaid by their own life is too high;
When someone has a daughter at home and they see her with a pure vision and want no harm to come her way;
How does that same vision dwindles as soon as those eyes find a prey??
A prey in their eyes who is no greater than their daughters and why doesn’t their daughter’s face reflect in her face;
Do you think they are conscious enough not to hurt and do something unthinkable to their own daughter but their mind tells them otherwise as soon as they see someone who is not their blood…?
Or,
They already have their vision on them but don’t do anything because they’re scared,
Scared of the fact that they will be ostracised if they do something to their own daughters…?
How come your daughter deserves safety, respect and dignity;
While the girl walking alone on the road, even during broad daylight deserves none….?
There are a few life hacks that I practice to keep myself sane tbh…!
Even these things that get labelled as monotonous help me live my life to the fullest…!
Well firstly,
I pen down anything that I have on my mind the first thing in the morning as soon as I wake up before going to the washroom or during the time I’m sitting on the can…!
Secondly,
The morning walks that help me declutter my mind,
And,
It helps me get a fresh perspective into life while looking at these flowers, leaves and people who surround us…!
Thirdly
I think I sit on a lot of things and believe the fact that everything that comes to me doesn’t necessarily has to be an inspiration that I can work on at that very instant,
But some of them are a fragments that I can conveniently place in a story line later or somewhat of a life lesson which helps me picture a piece later..!
Fourth
When something hurts me,
I turn to writing about it from both gendered perspectives which gives me an insight to work on later…!
This thinking from both ways has given me an insight into how it feels to the feminine character too…!
Lastly
I manage my time a whole lot,
I try to fix my hours at work and not overwork myself because that gives me less and less reason to continue it the next day…!
And,
But,
All of the things come to a halt when I’m writing…!
I guess these four hacks are the top most of the things that I do,
Honestly—
To live this life in a fuller way and better way than to rot in my bed…!
An activity that is somewhat of a fixed thing that happens on my day off…!

Yes,
Sometimes there are villains whose end goals are better than even heroes…!
But,
What matters is the path that they chose to achieve those goals…!
Imagine thanos doing all of it for the betterment of humanity,
Erasing half of the population just with a single click—
But,
The simply turning half of the population to dust is not the way to go,
Well it would be cruel to the point where we would consider him to be one of the biggest villain but he wanted us to live better lives and not compete our entire lives for limited resources…!
Look at magneto
A holocaust survivor who developed the ability to manipulate magnetism, his growing up came with a lot of problems by experiencing N/\zi persecution and losing many loved ones just because of a race they belonged to…!
Which ingrained in him that mutants cannot simply coexist with humans and they cannot depend on humans for their safety and well being— a matter that mutants had to take in their own hands…!
Because someday fear will arise and it will cause humans to hunt the mutants(because they couldn’t leave fellow humans who look and talk in the same way as them on this face of earth…!)
At last looking at Loki
Everyone sees a hysterical person who is straight up villain,
But,
If you look deeper you will see someone who struggles with his identity,
Someone who is constantly in a search of a sense of belonging where ever they went…!
And,
At the end is confused to the point which leaves him with a question that does he have a choice in who he becomes at the end…?
In all of the three cases we see these people(not villains) fighting a version or a thought in which they grew up which forced them to choose a path which seemed fit for them back when they endured it all…!
These villains are something we created and then we curse them for being a reflection of us…!

I hope all of you are doing well..!
Yes,
I wanted to write and I am beginning to write this prompt at exactly 00:02 hours;
A few minutes before I submitted the daily prompt which I had to on 30th…!
I think it will be a good day, because I have a whole lot planned and I will try to complete it by the evening…!
Returning to the prompt…!
The kindest things that someone has ever done for me would be to tell me that I was worthy of love and I deserved it as much as any other person did…!
I lost that girl a few years back because I was not in the right place for a relationship or even marriage…!
And to be honest I was never in a place to reject someone but,
I did,
And that moment still haunts me to this day,
Because I haven’t found someone who would love me like her…!
But,
There’s nothing that I can do, because she is happy in a relationship with someone who deserved and treated her in a much better way than I ever could…!

It was her,
And,
Even when life was not kind to her she was kind to me,
And that is something that I learnt from her and tried to incorporate in my life by looking happy and carrying a smile on my face;
And wishing everyone with much more love and respect which I used to do before…!

She taught me it was possible to love someone even when you are broken and trying to mend yourself…!
And I genuinely wish,
Whenever my heart cries out—
I wish this life was a bit less cruel to her and she could have found the person who loves her before those people came into her life…!

Why do we call it matar you ask,
Because it’s in the shape of a matar or a pea pod 🫛, well without the peas of course…!
Also,
Can you call it a day off when you don’t wake up early and everyone who is at home wants you to work early on in the morning…?
I was woken up by the maid cleaning our house and mom having a loud conversation about her life, her daughter and how her son is going out of her hand…!
And to someone who just woke up, it felt like they were having a full blown fight and I ran into my living room,
And guess what,
They were having a normal conversation and I tried to go back to sleep,
Emphasis on the tried to…!
So guess what,
I had to help my sister put up curtains and our ladder broke and after fixing it my sister decided to make breakfast..!
And after considering a while and deciding on poha which I love,
She decided to make vermicelli…!

So I guess we will be having vermicelli after all…!

First would be Pukhtaän
If tou know what I’m talking about you already are familiar with the flavor of the Padma shri awardee chef Imtiaz Qureshi’s son Ashfaque Qureshi…!
I was able to enjoy once in Rajouri Garden and taking home delivery more than four times in Karol Bagh(which was recently closed down due to them not being able to secure enough well paying crowd here…!)
Everything slaps here,
Even its black dal or red meat…!
You are paying good amount for the food and your expectations will be exceeded for sure…!
Second would be New Tera hotel
Situated right next to where the pukhtaän was in Karol Bagh,
You will be greeted by a handsome Sardarji with a warm welcome and a big smile where you can either place your order or dine in at any given time of the day…!
I’d recommend the paneer bhurji and their double fry dal along with parantha or naan I’d recommend to try to garlic one…!
A pure veg restaurant which uses ghee for cooking all of the dishes,
They can swap out garlic too but you’ll have to confirm that yourself…!
Third would be Panjabi Angeethi
A place that I get delivered my food from every now and then,
Even if it’s only for you or a party that you’re hosting, they have awesome deals like paneer, daal, chaap, pulao,rolls etc…!
You can have food and never get tired of it…!
Last would be Prem Dhaba…!
From veggie options to all non veg options you can have food at their venue, infront of the restaurant in your car or get it delivered…!
I have been having their food ever since I was a kid and you cannot match that they serve because it’s mixed with nostalgia for me…!
You can check them all out one visit at a time, if you plan to visit Delhi or Karol Bagh any time in the near future…!

A dinner that would destroy me mentally but I wouldn’t give in anytime soon and ask a follow up question after questing my sanity and processing a reply Of course the food would get cold as I think and ponder in my imaginative world and form a reply or another question…!

We would discuss(well argue) about the time and its constrains,
And if the time or the passage of it is made up just to extract more from us…!
And we would discuss the infinite traps that we are currently experiencing as we try to wiggle through each day…!
We would end up creating a person in an imaginative world and give them all of the problems that we deal with on the daily and try to revive them each time they fall or aren’t left with any more hope…!
A complete science experiment within our heads that’s what it would become at the end…!

As you know my obsession with the author and the type of work where everything is answered in a poetic fashion which would become lame after the first hour and I would beg them to talk normally—
We would discuss love, grief, human nature and its complexities, and by the end we would probably be swirling wine/drinking whiskey neat with some ice as it cools the glasses as we process every problem that exists and will exist in the near future…!
Last would be Rabindranath Tagore
Yes,
A bit of a polar opposite,
But,
We would discuss poetry, love, spirituality and love for our country that we share…!
Well,
For once my thoughts and ideas would be heard and ideas would flow in our native language rather than taken as critical comment and handled with hostility—
I’d have room to learn and explore my own self and a chance to expand my horizon too…!
A dinner well staring with appetisers and leading to main course which happens all of us are done grabbing at each others throats and maybe end with a cold dessert which would bring some cool and calmness into us after which all of us would leave after bidding our goodbyes to each other…!

I’m not that into home decor but there are certain things that I want that I will get once I get to that earning level…!
To be honest, being the only one earning in my family and spending money only on my family and essentials is something that I was taught to do…!
And when I do have some spare money or something that I can spend,
I usually buy my mom and sister something nice 😊
Because who am I without them…?
Now about the actual decor…!
We have a combination of cream and walnut brown as a basic tone of our house…!
And we have a clean and minimal decor and none of the things you see in a fancy movie where you watch a Indian household with big chandeliers or canvases spreading along the walls or ornaments that collect dust and demand regular cleaning…!
With only three people at home I think we can avoid a lot by cutting our times which would be wasted on regular cleaning and maintenance…!
I mean you can have it however you like, but there is already a lot of clutter in our home and I feel that we have to clean it every other day…!
But,
That cleaning and arranging it takes a lot of our free time and it makes no sense that we spend a chunk of our time here…!
