    If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Another already answered prompt forcing me to cut short my answer and get into one of my saved posts or getting into my notes app to find something worthy of your time…!

    Well an answer for the prompt would be something like this…!

    I wouldn’t necessarily ban a word because I’m not in a position to do that,

    But,

    what I’d like to happen is to do away with the dual meaning of words that happen after another generation picks it up…!

    For example the word

    Cooked,

    Meant that the “food was ready” but these days it means something else entirely…!

    These days in slang it means “to be in big trouble or exhausted”

    This duality has ruined a lot of words like

    Slay

    Glaze

    Bet

    Tea

    The list goes on and on…!

    I would do away with this duality because it’s hard for me to search for the meaning behind the slangs all the time…!

    Sometimes,

    They only show what they want to be seen as,
    and they’re so good at it,
    you come to know this later…!

    They aren’t even a speck of what they act,
    like their behaviour and their actions can be the polar opposite of what they are with someone else…

    Glad I came and distanced myself,
    or rather,
    I’m glad things came up and brought distance between us…

    Now that I sit back and see,
    I cannot agree more with those pointing fingers at you because of who you are,
    rather,
    what sort of a person you are…

    I’m glad and breathe in peace,
    That,
    There won’t be any fingers pointed at me,
    for the fact that I am still in contact with you…!

    but,

    What advice would you give to your teenage self?

    Hey…!

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I’m making this prompt at 8:32 at night,

    A nice change of pace this is…!

    There are a lot of things that I had to do today, one of them being looking for banquets for my sister’s wedding function…!

    And let me tell you this,

    The prices are outrageous, even if we have a programme for lunch they are quoting 3.5 to 4 lakhs for a programme that lasts 6 hours—

    10:30 am to 4:30 pm…!

    I’ve been dead tired spending my evening from these past few weeks searching one or two banquets each day…!

    Things that you have to do when you don’t have a father figure in your life…! 🤷

    Well it would have been a better support and something of a confidence booster but,

    There are something that you have to do on your own and life pushes you to do them too…!

    Coming back to the prompt

    An advice to my teenage self…!

    Spend as much time as you can with your parents and grandparents because they aren’t going to be in your life much longer…!

    And no matter how much the difference comes in within your thinking and theirs, you can nod your head and continue to work on things that you like, things that you love…!

    Even if this won’t give you money or earning in the short run it will help you get experience and a way to live this life better…!

    They won’t be available for all the time so just enjoy their company and the time that you can spend with them…!

    Maybe ask them about their childhood;

    How were they brought up and what they used to do…!

    You’ll for sure hear some tales that you can tell your kids someday and if you’re fortunate enough you can get your kids to hear them from them directly…!

    Well not in my case but it can be possible in yours…!

    Well don’t forget about telling your younger self about buying bitcoin in bulk and keeping it until 2026…!

    Real life problems here in India…!?

    Another day of already answered prompts telling me to go into my partially written saved posts…!

    For those who don’t believe here’s the proof that I can provide you…!

    If you stay with me, you will be safe…!

    These are the exact words that left his mouth when I told him that I didn’t want to go with him…!

    Set aback I was, before I could say anything as his words once again filled the room…!

    “There are many who are ill mannered who will tease you, belittle you, call you names, maybe touch you inappropriately and what will you do then…?

    Who will you call out to…?

    Who will you look back to for help…?

    Will you cry out for help…?”

    Don’t you think it will be a terrifying experience…?

    And you won’t be able to move or even make a cry of help when something bad happens…!

    You don’t even call it out when you’re surrounded by people you call your own, because you think they’d think of you in the wrong way…!

    And you think you can go alone safely there without me…?

    His words cut deep,

    But they were true, I should have left early and made all of the necessary arrangements before I planned to travel there, even if it were to travel all alone…!

    I know this seems weird, A lot of dependence on a person, But what if I told you it was the absolute truth for me…?

    Last week another girl just like me was picked up by goons as she was going back home from school and she was assaulted and later left on the side of the road(literally to die);

    Until a passer-by recognized her and shouted to attract more people;

    The already distressed parents ran as they weren’t able to lodge a FIR,

    Denied were their basic rights just because the presiding officer assumed that she must have ran away from home due to some tension or stress from her parents…!

    They also brought them shame by telling them to their face and all those around them that,

    She must have ran away from them with her boyfriend and they must have planned to marry each other…!

    As soon as they reached along with other police officers after an already pre decided sum was received by them in a form of bribe and they were looking to pay a part of it to the family to settle the matter;

    They said girl was still alive and confessed the name of the people that were in that car because they belonged to the same town;

    And they loaded her up in their police van instead of an ambulance and drove off towards the hospital…!

    The parents of the girl stood there and after a while they shook themselves to consciousness and found what had happened…!

    They paddled their way to the hospital but their daughter was declared brought dead;

    The parents also died as soon as they heard the news…!

    As the hospital staff decided to change her to remove all of the blood soaked clothes,

    They began the investigation and found conclusive evidence that it was infact a sexual assault and this would;

    Should be a criminal activity;

    But those so called enforcers of justice came empty handed when she was laden into the police jeep and gave up on the drive towards the hospital,

    Or,

    She was deliberately killed on the way to not get a witness testimony…!

    The words still ringing in my mind,

    If you stay with me, you will be safe..!

    Would I ever be safe, until this mentality stays that I need someone to feel safe

    And when I am alone I will—

    I should feel unsafe…

    Only when there’s someone around me I’ll feel safe…!

    Isn’t this mentality broken enough to push women back into the place they worked so hard to crawl out of…!

    Another already answered prompt forcing me to pick one of the things from my drafts…!

    Do you feel the time speeding up too…?

    I’d like to call this concept,

    The “Quickening”

    Let me check if this is real word or not;

    (Yes it is a real word, but it just means that the first motion that a foetus in the uterus makes, nothing else than that…)

    Do you feel that the world is moving quicker than it was before?

    Or

    The passage of time has blemished, and in the matter of the few moments maybe hours pass away…

    Maybe when you’re watching reels or doing something that you love; the time feels like it going by real fast…!

    I’ve met people who believe that the year 2020 and 2021 didn’t happen(maybe be of corona virus and it’s spread);

    But, even if we were away from work or detached in the form that doesn’t make any sense…!

    Some believe they are getting older at a pace that they can’t believe is true…!

    One of those is my friend who says nothing seems fun anymore, the lifestyle is the same and things have gotten expensive exponentially and the magic that we had in our childhood is long gone…!

    He told to me something I didn’t recognise until it was too late for me,

    Maybe you didn’t too;

    But the clouds were blue and peaceful,

    And the sunlight was bright and yellow;

    The moon was merciful, and it brought me peace earlier….;

    Now the clouds are grey, the sun is white, and the moon signifies longing more than the eternal peace…!

    He once told me that he’s afraid of dying,

    But death, that’s enticing because it means a sweet release;

    And when I tried to correct him by saying that both of them are same;

    He said that death as an achievement would be a sweet release,

    But the actual process of dying like being dependent on someone to take care of you or fighting an illness until the very end-—

    Where you become miserable and dependent on those who are around you and they too become tired of you after a while…;

    That’s why the process of dying is scary,

    But death seems a sweet embrace…

    And when our conversation came to an end, and I drove back home,

    I realised what he meant by that,

    The instant release from all the mess makes it very appealing,

    But the consequence of not crossing the bridge instantly means that someone becomes your caretaker,

    And when that happens and you see and feel yourself that you have become miserable,

    That feeling can’t be shaken off…!

    A thought called Time Quickening…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Another day that I woke up at 2:30 and wrote something in my notes app and fall asleep yet again at 4:45; waking up again with my alarm at 8 am in the morning…!

    I hope to live on this routine…!

    Because the time around 2:30 to 3:30 are becoming the most optimum time for me to write and think because I’m all alone at that point of time and no one distracts my thinking or my thought of process…!

    I’ll add at the end what I wrote this morning…

    First of all, the patriotism is on an all time low because of the way this country is being handled;

    The way the so called elected officials are weaponising the religious beliefs of a said community to spew even more hatred towards each other, causing conflict within them each and every single day and making it their main goal of their election campaign…

    Have you ever heard someone say in India ever before—

    “हमारा धर्म खतरे में है…!”

    (Our religion is at risk…!)

    We’ve never heard that in our lifetime ever before and we won’t hear this ever again once this party loses all of its grip and goes away for good…!

    Well,

    A country where acts of terrorisms happen and the lost lives are used as a weapon of getting votes, the people here are either clueless or don’t care about the direction they’re taken in…!

    The deals accepted by our said prime minister to accept USA and Venezuelan oil at prices higher than their counterparts and then welcoming him like he was involved in negating world war 3 shows the hypocrisy of the whole government and its constituents…!

    And working on a law that any army retired personnel cannot release a biography or a book until 20 years of retirement challenges all of the basic ideas that define the crooked state and the mishandling of our resources…!

    And today’s prompt asks us for patriotism,

    You cannot revive something that is taken away from our eyes and being chipped away each day and only fragments are being seen by us every passing day until there will be none…!

    Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    A warmer morning this one is and I woke up at 2 in the morning with cold sweats, and turned on the fan, doom-scrolled for a while, turned on my tab and watched a few episodes of Daria and went back to sleep around 4:30 and woke up yet again as my alarm rang at 8 in the morning,

    And I’ve felt more refreshed than ever;

    Maybe this intermittent sleep schedule is the way to get more of my creativity out,

    Because I remember writing something about close friends who ditch on me at the moment I need them, but I have stood up for them various times even at odd hours…

    Maybe this realisation was very much needed to distance myself from such people in my life and this realisation couldn’t have come at the right time as may a people I considered close missed an important date in my life;

    Instead of two who reached out to me;

    I’m making this post from Delhi, India where the people don’t see the red lights before crossing—

    The assaults on women are on an all time high-

    There are more than 50 people including men, women and children going missing who can’t be traced even by the police each and every single day—

    Rules are broken left and right and today due to mahashivratri;

    Truck full of people and their dj sets will blare music all throughout the day wherever they go and cause noise pollution throughout the day-

    Can you ever tell such people that the faith exists within their bodies and doing a pomp and show disrupts other communities too,

    But if that is said it would cause more harm than good—

    Each day there are numerous cases registered and some are cleared just through under the table deals or by paying off the victim or their surviving family—

    A lawless state we live in here,

    Let me not tell you about speeding or illegally cutting of the lanes that these blinkit drivers and e rickshaw drivers make 🫩

    And even I’m not someone who is pure amongst the people who are covered in grime-

    I’ve paid my way out of problems too, that were caused by breaking rules like speeding, or other illegal activities(let’s stop it here)

    Because that’s the easiest way to get away from any problem when you can pay someone and they make it disappear…!

    Money works wonders even in overcoming the hurdles in bureaucratic procedures and makes our lives easier instead of letting our files sit and collect dust in government offices…!

    Because this is India…!

    (मेरा देश बदल रहा है…)

    (My country is changing)

    And becoming an even more greedy, selfish and corrupt one just because we have normalised this sort of thinking and they don’t work unless they are fed their rates…!

    What could you do differently?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    First thing it’s scary that it’s only Wednesday today when this could have already been a Thursday for me,

    And we are already first week into the new year as we speak…!

    Another lie that I cannot seem to believe at all…!

    Well I’ve felt that time flies past quickly these days; but I’ve never ever felt such haste…

    Coming to the prompt because thinking that makes me go crazy…!

    What could I do differently…?

    Another one of those broad questions of you ask me,

    I mean what i could to differently in life, at work, at relationships or what; the horizon is so broad…!

    Well for beginning,

    I want to be up early and stay awake for the some time and complete work that I’ve taken upon myself (writing short stories and some skits…)

    Second would be to have enough energy left to join a gym after work because that is something I want to involve myself in…

    Third would be to be more active and great at conversation and keeping up either my friendships and relationships that I have with people (both in and outside of work…)

    The last would be to be a better person than who I am right now, because there is suffering that I see around me, but I’m not that loaded that I can help everyone that I see;

    So I just want to be in a better place so that I can help those around me, well if not strangers I’d be happy to help those who are a part of my family by helping them get up on their feet and give them a much needed boost that will pull them out of their slow and stagnant life…(only if they need my help…)

    There are many things that can be done differently, much of it depends on the perspective of self and those who is affected by the change isn’t it…?

    Well to a better future shall we tread…!

    What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    It’s another Sunday and I hope you went to bed sooner than you expected;

    You won’t believe the response that I got from people they believed that it would be better to just stay in, spend some time with their family or stay indoors maybe with a friend after grabbing a bottle, sharing it and crashing at their place or letting them crash at your place;

    This was more of a response I got;

    Some were like my parents aren’t home so I will spend the night with my boyfriend/girlfriend and there were a few who decided to go out to drink or have food…!

    A wild change has been brought by the year 2026 into the lives of people that live around us;

    Maybe a change was indeed needed, to be self introspective and knowing who is right and who to keep alongside you and people are doing that this year;

    Filtering and cutting their circle to a few good people instead of a bunch of people who show up just because they get a free treat out of you…!

    Coming back to the prompt;

    What would be the greatest gift someone could ever give me…?

    For me it would be their Trust and Genuine presence;

    Imagine knowing someone and you fully trust them with your secrets, your life and anything that goes on in it;

    And when something goes wrong they show up to put you in your arms and gently bring you from a scary place back into this world;

    I really have to thank the almighty for putting someone like that in my life;

    They have been a sort of pillar in my life that I can take support of when nothing else is going right and they also guide me when nothing is going right in my life;

    One of the most important things;

    They become a place where I can freely say out things without being judged and they let me know when I’m in the right headspace or not;

    And they always listen to me keenly whenever or whatever I have to speak about;

    The last part is extremely important;

    And there aren’t many who just listen to you, because this is a fast paced world and everyone has their priorities,

    But can you imagine having someone like that…!

    I’m extremely blessed…!

    Also this goes both ways,

    If you want to be with a person who has all of this qualities, you will have to be one such person beforehand;

    By being someone like that before you will find yourself in a place where you will help people out too by hearing them and providing them with comfort and then you will find yourself in a place where you are surrounded by many such people who are like that…!

    With that being said,

    Their trust and genuine presence in your life would be the optimum answer for this prompt…!

    Take it slowly it’s a Sunday morning, I know you are going to wake up late and then contemplate your day maybe your life later;

    But,

    Find someone to talk to, a genuine connection;

    A dream that didn’t come true…!

    What colleges have you attended?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Whew, the weekend is upon us finally and I hope all of you are now ready to finally let loose because what a week it was,

    I remember celebrating new year then going back to work in the morning 😭😔;

    But not today;

    All of the work can be done on Monday and all the enjoyment happens today and some tomorrow(I.e. a Sunday)

    Coming back to the prompt,

    What colleges have I attended;

    I’m letting you know this once,

    I actually missed all of the college life because of some financial issues that we coincidentally got when I was supposed to be a part of the college and pursue my dreams;

    It was back in 2017 and I was supposed to take admission in the college of my choice;

    But it was outright refused by my father as he laid the facts in-front of me, it was very shocking and devastatingly cruel thing that happened to me, because entirety of my dream came to a collapse;

    So I had to pursue another course from an open university,(Du SOL)

    All of the material was available to pick from their office and I spent my whole three years going back and forth once to the place and the rest of the time I spent my time preparing from home;

    Later I was pushed into joining the family business which wasn’t a part of my curriculum at all and that led to technically destroying whatever I learnt from the place because I started the work from the grime and learnt as I went upwards;

    Well that sad story is supposed to be told another day;

    I wish all of you readers a very happy new year and I hope your dreams come true this year;

    Try to reflect on life sometimes, see how your child or your partner or even a stranger would react once they come to know your actions and story from someone else…!

    Would they be happy or sad or outright refuse to play your part;

    This becomes a very powerful reminder to amend or change your ways…!

    Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

    Hey..!

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    It’s second of january and I hope all of you are still working hard to move according to your goals,

    This might be too soon,

    But,

    As many people I’ve talked to, they haven’t set any concrete goals for the year and the fact that they don’t have anything that pushes them above and beyond to work hard enough to gain something that they dreamt of earlier…!

    Maybe the depreciation value of rupee is to blame, maybe it’s the fact that anything and everything that we buy costs more than what it should…!

    Maybe the widespread distrust in the fact that it would get any better than what currently is going on…!

    For me it’s the fact that new year came on the weirdest day, a Thursday…!?

    Some people are sending me messages today, and I got confused for a second myself;

    Like “ I hope I didn’t wish people New Year’s wishes a day ahead…!”

    But I didn’t and I wasn’t wrong…!

    I don’t know what’s up with that…?

    Well,

    Coming back to the prompt;

    This prompt couldn’t have come at a good time,

    One of my goals this year is to include actual time to sports or something that I consider playtime…!

    I have a nephew that comes to my home and wants me to play Roblox with him, and I kid you not within 15-20 minutes entirety of my brain starts to hurt 😢(and he plays it for hours upon hours…!!!)

    Sometime he wants to play “rivals” a first person shooter game..

    and

    Sometimes he just plays (I don’t know if I’m saying the name right…!)

    “Steal a/the brainrot…”

    And let me tell you something,

    The entire premise of the game,

    “Is to steal a freaking brainrot and keep your base safe and locked, maybe buy some of them and level up(which I haven’t found out how do to it as of yet…?!)”

    No I wasn’t speaking gibberish, it is the actual game and the actual truth…!

    But,

    Yeah I want to involve myself in some sort of sport like badminton or table tennis, because that’s what we played when I was young and we enjoy it a whole lot now when we make time to play,

    Which is also replaced by a mini game in Roblox…🥲🥲

    Something that says playtime to me means that can be free of the stresses that this world brings to me and I feel refreshed and satisfied;

    To end up with clear mind after playing for a good hour or 45 minutes…!

    After which I end up focusing better on things that need my actual attention;

    Well, Friday is upon us and I wish all of you to take it slow, maybe you postponed the parties and plans to the weekend and this counts as the last working day of the week, so work hard today and party tomorrow…!

    I hope you have someone dear to you or a loved one with whom you can spend time with this year;

    Maybe go out for a treat or surprise each other with some gifts,

    Because at the end of the day,

    It’s only you and them who will stay;

    The rest will go back to their own safe space and forget all about you until they see you once again at work or passing by on the street somewhere…!
