So I started to prepare material that will be processed next week,
And the hunt for labour is still an ongoing process as most of them are gone to their native villages to attend marriage functions or to be a helping hand in cutting of the ripe crops and sowing of the new ones…!
We will almost be done with the shopping and the things that will be left are my clothes that I will give measurements of on Monday(my day off)
And,
We have to buy bhaji boxes too which will start distributing in the middle of the next week too…!
Cannot wait for the 26th to arrive…!
Coming back to the prompt…!
A job that I’d do for free
I know that you’d expect an answer like I wouldn’t do anything for free,
Because of the business mindset that I’ve developed myself into…!
—
But,
If you look at this from my perspective,
This,
All of this writing and expressing myself is something that I do for free and have been doing for free from the very beginning;
—
I do it because of the love that I have for writing and penning my emotions that I have or I encounter on the daily…!
I have happily spent G0d knows how much time on this,
This skill of mine which I hone to this day,
And will till the end of me…!
This is the only job that I’d do for free and without taking even a single penny,
Because that would be equal to buying my love and I hope
It wouldn’t be possible for me in the near future…!
Cheers 🥂
To another busy day,
and
I hope you achieve all of the tasks that you plan to do this Sunday…!
What Olympic sports do you enjoy watching the most?
Hey…!
I hope all of you are doing well…!
It was a packed day yesterday which I took off from work,
Shopping earrings and a set that we plan on giving my sister,
On top of that we are deciding what we will give during the milni function maybe cash will be the go to;
But instead of that we are planning to give silver coins…!
(Remove the concept of cash in total…)
—
We also bought kaleere and rented the jewellery that my sister plans to wear on the day of her wedding…!
After trying on a few of them, this was the one she associated with the most…!
A few more days of shopping it’s said,
But,
I’m telling my mom and sister to finish it by Sunday evening;
So that we can start the other things from Monday onwards…!
Coming back to the prompt
Olympic sports that I enjoy watching…!
To be honest to you all,
I don’t even like watching cricket…!
(I know I am going to get some heat for that…)
But,
I genuinely don’t understand what is the reason behind watching guys in a circle catch a ball that other player hit…?!
—
It’s the same for football,
What is the reason that these athletes train so hard to kick a ball into others teams net…!?
—
Let’s not talk about the betting and immense money people lose on these sports…!
—
Some people literally put their life on the line and take money from people to bet it on these things…!
—
Only to lose in the long run even if a few bets hit…!
But,
Let’s not forget it being the a sense of interconnectedness amongst all of us…!
—
You feel left out if you don’t watch a cricket match of which either India is a part of,
even these IPL(Indian premier league…)
—
You feel left out as soon as the conversation starts and then you have to watch it with them or alone in your privacy…!
The only thing that I watch on the passing is badminton as it shows new ways and tricks the athletes use to be better at a sport that is already at its pinnacle…!
—
Another one would be shooting sports that include target hitting,
Even if it is air rifle or bow and arrow…!
—
But,
Have you ever given a thought to the fact how these people who sacrificed their lives to represent our country, India are looked at once the celebrations turn off…?
—
How they’re treated once they return home and spend a few years within those who call them their own…!
—
Their piles of medals bring them immense shame and they never plan on bringing their kids into the sport they perused or any those kids genuinely want to…!
That is how we treat those sportsmen/sportswomen who brought glory to our country…!
A thought that stays on my mind longer than it should…!
After spending the whole day at work yesterday it felt like I was going to die…!
.
The blues are fading,
Just the lingering memories are there…!
.
Look how fast someone forgets the death of a fellow being,
Not even two days have passed…!
.
But,
On returning home an hour before my routine,
I went to the bhaji wala;
.
To buy boxes of sweets that we have to give to the people along with the cards…!
.
In which we have to put
Matthi
Matar(or namak pare)
Gur para
Small samosas
Kachori’s
—
I brought sample from a few shops and we decided on one,
So I’ll be going to place the order today itself…!
As they need some time to prepare it too…!
And,
I fell asleep only after drinking tea at home and those mithai;
.
Woken up by hunger pangs at 6:22;
I wanted to eat something but I didn’t,
As I laid there on my bed,
After a few minutes both my mom and sister came into my room and decided on the routine which we have to follow—
.
Look at the irony,
We are busy enough to forget the passing away of someone close,
But from whom I came from,
My father,
We remember him on each and every milestone that we cross—
Coming back to the prompt…
Improving our community…!
The prompt couldn’t have come at a right time;
The sense of direction of the youth has severely deteriorated over the years;
..
With more influence on their phones,
Their sense of time and being able to get a grasp over it has taken a hit;
Even to me,
When I am on my phone the time feels like it’s flying away,
And I don’t have enough time to look up from it…!
..
Other problem that plagues us are the surrounding an its ill maintenance…!
Broken roads filled with potholes,
The so called space technology…!
–
With that,
The overflowing water from gutters which breed germs and problems that come back to bite us later…!
—
Lack of safety for women and female gender on the whole…!
This has become such a problem now in India that we have become practically numb to the fact that these things happen all around us and even the people in power are partly at response,
Often we hear,
Kids of those who are in prominent places committing these heinous acts…!
—
At last,
It’s a our fault,
We choose to bring these people to power and how are we not able to judge their character beforehand;
A lesson that we learn each time by making mistakes,
And repeating them ever so often…!
Do you think it’s possible to improve the community until there is somewhat of a revolution within all of us…?
And that is sparked by having the same rights and responsibilities whose blame and praise both come to us…!
—
As a reminder to better ourselves and let the community be a reflection of the same…!
This day started early as I think I fell asleep at 10 last night…!
I’m writing this at 7:10 in the morning…
I spent entirety of the day outside,
After waking up and making a post yesterday morning bere,
I freshened up and went to my workplace to give a bundle of material to hardening,
And before returning home I made my first trip to buy essentials like ghee and at home I had brunch…!
After that I went out to buy munchies and other kitchen essentials from Dmart near our residence…
On returning home and taking another shower, it was three by now…!
I got ready and went to Chawri bazaar for getting the card made;
We walked to metro and reached Chawri bazaar within 20 minutes…!
The wait on the yellow line was oh so much…!
And after walking another 10 minutes because we got off on the wrong exit we reached this shop that was in such a secluded spot I thought we were going to get lost there…!
A street leading to another smaller one and another one leading to another…!
—
After giving them the format that we wanted,
We waited and waited..!
After getting no answer because the person who had to type wasn’t free;
We decided that we will send them the pdf on our own and decided to return back home…!
On our way back we decided to stop for pista badam milk which is famous in old Delhi;
The name of the shop is
Sudarshan Refreshment Centre…
They also sell Kachori
The small compartment that has kachori above and sabzi in the box below…!
And on returning from the shop,
I stopped by the Shri Gujrat Namkeen Bhadaar…!
And bought some kaju both with pepper and plain salted…!
Along with some thepla and fafda
The fafda in question 😂Side view of the shop…!
Before coming back home,
We decided to buy some burgers for people back home from jumbo king burgers at Rajiv chowk…!
And after waiting for it to get ready and sipping on our sprite;
My sister and I talked about things like her suits and dresses,
And on taking the burgers,
We walked to the blue lines that led to our station and we got on the metro…!
We decided to check out a Salon to get a basic idea of the rates of bridal makeup and they gave us a slip of 20k for bridal and additional 3k for each person that wanted to get their’s done…!
—
And we came out of the salon with a laughter on our face thinking it would be in the range of 10 maybe 15k range..!
—
So we will look for some more…!
What a day it was…!!!!
Coming back to the prompt…!
Aspects that make us unique…
If I’m asked this question,
I’d answer this by saying that,
thethought process
and
the behaviour
That guides us to arrive at a conclusion works to make us unique…!
If you have a corrupted thought process,
Everything goes down from that place,
Because it forces you to pick negative and bad thoughts more and after a point of time you feel forced to act upon them…!
—
And when that happens the behaviour reflects what goes on in the mind,
To all of the world…!
On the contrary,
If you have a better managed thought process,
A balance of both leaning towards good side more;
—
It reflects in the behavior and the people outside can see it too…!
My answer would be a correct mindset with a positive thinking process,
Along with that a behavior that reflects the same…!
If you could have something named after you, what would it be?
Hey…
I hope all of you are doing well…!
It was a slow day yesterday at work,
A job that took the whole day but by the end of the day it was ready;
Which I will have to give to harderning today on my day off…!
It’s 8:18 and my day is packed to the brim…!
—
I have to go on shop for necessities like fruits and veggies,
Biscuits and other munchies,
Ghee and some seed oil for home…!
—
Other than that I have to go and make some edits to the cards and get them printed in a day or two;
—
Try and get a look at what we are going to give my sister in gold;
Maybe a necklace or two;
—
And after that;
Plan my entire evening getting information about catering, tents and internal decor for haldi, mehandi and ladies sangeet ceremony…!
—
Packed to the brim,
Am I not…?
Coming back to the prompt…
Something named after me…!
I’d love it if a concept or a phenomenon would be called Waakiye;
—
Something that stays in theory and often crosses into the practical world;
—
I’d love if it meant to be in a mental state of feeling that signifies being in a comfortable position,
Something like open to all the wellness and filtering out all the negativity…
I’d never want it to be a building or a road or a venue—
Because I’ve seen the type of hatred people have towards the way things are named and people move to change it ever so often…!
—
So,
Having a venue named after me and later changed just because a politician thinks that my name rings of a religious belief that are different from theirs;
It would be a shame to my name and my legacy if something was named once by the masses and then changed because they don’t feel I resonate with them…!
But if the name stays as a concept or a feeling;
It’s destined to stay even if I’m not…
Cheers 🥂
Love Waakiye 🤍
A squirrel that we rescued…!
I hope you do remember,
The same young dog that was carrying the pigeons that we recently rescued was chasing this baby squirrel and we rescued it from under a car that it sat patiently waiting for us…!
And after keeping it for a few days,
As it escaped from the box a few times and eating a healthy amount of seeds and drinking enough water it was ready for the free world…!
So my sister released it in the evening and it went up the tree,
Never to be found again today…!
We named him
Gillu or गिल्लू
The first few words of the hindi word
गिलहरी which directly translates to squirrel
🐿️
A close shotOur pet, Mithu curiously looking at what we brought in this time🤨
A topic that I answered some time back when a string of already answered prompts came to me…!
(Khair…)
It was a mildly busy day yesterday;
A few jobs that we had to finish by the evening,
And it was safe return back home;
I don’t remember much about last night tho,
Eating food,
Roaming a bit and writing something about the situation that is going on right now and then falling asleep with my phone in my hand;
On waking up at 3:53 to the sounds of dogs howling and finding no one I came back and tried to fall asleep,
But that didn’t happen for at least half an hour;
So I picked up my phone and on seeing 25% I put it on my wireless charger and picked my other phone up…!
After scrolling reels for half hour,
I fell asleep again and woke up at 7 in the morning…
And here we are—
Coming back to the prompt
What makes me laugh…?
I really don’t know…!
Thinking on the top of my head it would be some funny videos,
Particularly if I were to mention a duo,
It would be from Albela TV;
Mainly Saleem albela and Goga Pasroori ;
They are a duo from Pakistan and they put themselves in situations and tease each other by taking jabs at each other in jokes;
Which are called Jugat or चुटकुले in Hindi…
—
When I’m down or feeling sad or bad,
I usually watch a video or two by them and all sadness fades away as I laugh so hard each time…!
Other than that,
When I’m with my friends,
And people who I deeply love and care for;
—
We usually end up in laughter each time we meet talking about the situation we are in and the funny things that happen to us;
The jokes deepen and we end up stopping each other to catch our breaths…!
Other than that,
I look at the conditions that we have pulled ourselves in by our representatives that we chose and brought to power;
The increase in crime and rising hatred towards each other(specifically women and girls child)
It is a blessing of those people who advocated that survival is trivial and by saying
“हमारा देश खतरे में है,
हिंदू धर्म खतरे में है…!”
—
But,
When you look at it from afar,
You see all of the high level positions taken up by Hindu;
—
So you’d think they’d at least be secure of the fact that they are safe and none of their people in their surroundings would give up on them…?
But,
It doesn’t work like that,
They feel fear and incite it amongst the masses…
—
And there are people who believe that there is fear and that fact is funny to me;
—
Funny to a point that I have a sensible chuckle about it that never in my life have I seen such a blatant disregard towards other people who don’t belong to the same religion as you…!
A thought that lingers longer than it should in my mind…!
When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Hey…
I hope all of you are doing well…!
It’s a Saturday for me here and I hope you too are blessed to see the light of this day…!
—
Spend some time in sunlight,
Just sit; don’t move or worry about anything,
Just absorb it for maybe 10 minutes…!
—
It’s currently 7:39 in the morning as I’m writing this one…!
—
Nothing much happened yesterday,
It was a usual business day but I had to return earlier to decide on the cards that we have to give to our relatives and those who live around us to invite people to my sister’s wedding…!
—
And after deciding on a raw version of the script I wrote with my sister and mom,
We are on the process of refining it and it will be done today,
And it will be sent for printing…
—
Oh,
The days are getting close,
But so is this voice in my heart that feels sad because she will be going away,
Our chatterbox and source of chaos is going away…!
🥲🥹
(Khair…)
Life it is…!
Coming back to the prompt
My plans for the future when I was five
When I was five I was probably in LKG,
A step above nursery,
Junior kindergarten for those who don’t understand it…!
I was probably learning numbers and alphabets,
Maybe I was reading them on my own with errors,
Filling those books which had big letters and they gave us directions like slanting line, straight line or a line across…!
And I was filling them up chaotically and also messing them up BIG TIME 😂
I think this is the time I was learning to join words and learning about my family or my parents,
Learning basic shapes and concepts of things that helped me be who I am today…!
I hope you recognise what I’m trying to get at…!
I couldn’t get enough of what was happening and I think I wouldn’t even be thinking about my future;
All I would be thinking about is what I am going to do tomorrow when I walk into that class of mine and what is going to be in the lunchbox which I am going to share with my newfound friends…!
I think I’d have in mind to be a teacher because each day we looked upto them and we would’ve been in awe,
Like how she knew so much about things that we were learning…!
Other than that,
I must have been inspired to be a fireman or an artist;
The range goes way beyond this tbh;
We were blank slates,
Pure at hearts,
Waiting to be painted and then presented to the world…
I wouldn’t have given two thoughts about my future but my daily life that would have been a blast let me tell you that,
After coming back home tonight and going through the entire day,
I remembered how we celebrated
Ashtami
Where people open doors to young boys and girls and give them poori cholay, halwa and a slice of raw coconut
With some money..!
(Poori are Fried flatbread that becomes big and crispy,
Cholay are a mix of chickpea and Bengal gram that we make,
Halwa is a a sweet dish that we make out of sooji and sweetened water that is very popular here in India)
Fluffy poori’s
As it’s considered to be a blessing as kids are considered to be the little versions of G0d as they are pure and their minds haven’t been adulterated by this world…!
And when I look back at it,
It seems wrong when people invite them in and they give them food and watch them eat the food,
Sometime people even wash their feet as it’s considered equal to taking the blessings of the G0d…
It seems borderline predatory now I look back and think….🤔
In our case we pack the boxes 8 or 12 and give them outside our house,
There’s no point in inviting anyone in and disrupting our privacy by giving anyone access to ours…!
Coming back to the prompt…!
Something that people don’t understand
Something people don’t understand is that,
Once a “NO” always means a “NO”
And when someone tells you that they don’t like it,
Or
Don’t want to do something or
They have a bad feeling about something they might genuinely mean it and it’s safe to get away from that activity or that person when you engage in something that they don’t like…!
Not all days are equal;
There are some days I write a whole lot and there are some where I just exist,
And when it’s the latter,
I feel worthless,
Like my life has no meaning and there is no point continuing it anymore…!
—
But,
I’ve grown to believe that these days,
These sad days are a part of life and I cherish the happy days more after a string of sad days and remember what I live for…!
Buying what I can afford to pay in cash
I know it’s a trend nowadays that people buy things on emi and flex it,
But they aren’t able to afford it or live paycheque to paycheque to afford things like cars, bike or even phones and I mean the expensive ones like iPhones and Samsung ones;
Swinging more towards the Apple ecosystem;
—
Because at the end of the day,
All of this pomp and show will not help you pay the bills but stand out as one of the major chunk of it…!
—
An extension of above
Would be having enough bank balance to buy a thing that I’m plan on buying,
Three times over at least…
And if I don’t have enough money,
I don’t buy it…!
Because I won’t regret buying it later…!
A good deed never goes unrewarded and a bad deed never goes unpunished…
