    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I think I have answered this prompt some time back and I think WordPress is back on the things that they used to do back then…!

    Well,

    I know the prompts are given by another website/app called Day One,

    And it might happen that they cycle through some of them in a year….!

    Let’s not put all of the blame on WordPress and continue on the prompt…!

    Imagine spending your life in a way that feels fulfilling to you and you write an autobiography about it,

    And somewhere along the lines someone changes the ending of it because they don’t like it…!

    Like what…????

    Is that your story…?

    Is that your life…?

    Did you endure it, or went through it all or do you have a better insight into life than the person who actually went through with it…?

    No,

    You didn’t…!

    And if you weren’t a part of their life or wrote the book or a part of it,

    You don’t get to change an ending to anything much less a book…!

    So,

    If you consider yourself capable enough to change an ending,

    Make sure it’s a book that you are writing and from the very beginning,A

    And when someone comments that they want to change or tweak the ending a bit,

    Let’s see how it takes a toll on you,

    Or your mindset…!

    Sorry for snapping,

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I really hope that all of you dream and dream bigger than what you are right now,

    I hope you don’t stop dreaming ever because if you do, It closes the door that gives you a mental boost and forces you to push yourself In a direction that helps you achieve it someday…!

    Everyone has some dream that we might consider common,

    A buttload of money,

    A mansion,

    Cars that they obsess over,

    Or a girl that they want to marry because they love her oh so much…!

    But,

    I’ve made myself to be on the path that considers these man made things a flaw that most of us believe that they should possess…

    If you look at it from a wider perspective,

    It shows the world how you are doing in life or how much of its material wealth you possess and people judge you on the basis of that…!

    And if all of it is stripped away,

    You will see those who used to eat and drink with you trickling away once they get a hint on how you are not well off now…!

    An advice to all the young ones reading this,

    (I hope there are some…!)

    The material wealth will come and go,

    Until you dream of being someone who creates these micro dreams for others…!

    Imagine being a person who employs many people and they are able to dream because of you…!

    Now that is something that I dream of being…!

    It could mean by employing them or treating them equal to you at all levels and even greeting someone and talking to them politely…!

    It also means you harbour no bad feelings for no one and keep a clean slate when someone asks you about them…!

    Let me tell you something before going…!

    Only when your basic needs are met and you are confident and consistent with the efforts, you will see the fragments of your dream come true…!

    If all of your time is spend surviving and working hard to scrape by,

    The time to achieve your dream takes longer…!

    They never fail unless your efforts to achieve them fail…!

    So keep on dreaming and working hard simultaneously until you achieve your life transforms into something you saw in your dream…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    Haha

    This prompt came at the right time and hit me like a freight truck…!

    There are numerous promises that we make to ourselves and we wish that we would keep it forever,

    But,

    I believe it’s common that something comes up and deviates us from this path that we have decided in our minds…!

    And,

    Those moments,

    Those instances are tests that we have to overcome to complete the promises and be the person that we promised ourselves to be…!

    And these tests can vary so much that it’s impossible to predict them at all…!

    Imagine you go on a diet and tell yourself that you won’t eat direct sugar or consume food that has unnecessary calories,

    And,

    At that exact moment someone plans a party and all of the dieting is halted for a day and you inhale all of the things that you stopped yourself from…!

    Even I am a human,

    There are promises and hurdles that I have/had to make to myself and had to break too, to be who I am today…!

    One of the most important promises that I have kept until this day is to never stop learning and that has brought me immense pleasure and brought peace to me too…!

    It helps me be different from the world in the aspect where people only live their lives and I have lives many in this single one, that too at many stages…!

    Other than that I have made a promise to keep posting here every single day and I am happy to tell you that I am trying to be active and putting my time being a better writer each day on multiple apps,

    And I am trying to build a personality there too..!

    I know it’s hard after putting 10+hours in your business and later having time to process and build your online profile…!

    But a promise is a promise right…?

    And,

    When we break these promises and make new ones we start at a level above from the last time…!

    Remember that…!

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I don’t know which direction these prompts are going in but I hope one of these days someone looks into it and gives us something that is as good as today’s is…!

    The fictional character I’d choose would be—

    Almustafa from the book the prophet by Khalil Gibran…!

    He’s not a character who has time travel abilities or someone who can see beyond realms but,

    There is something that he possesses and that is wisdom and answers to questions that all of us seek answers for…!

    Imagine catching up on dinner and asking all of the problems and things that people deal with on the daily and getting answers that open up your perspectives to horizons never seen before…!

    Imagine having a dinner with someone who knows so much about everything that our world revolves around,

    Life, death, nature, love, and ultimately our destiny, what we came here to do and what is our purpose…!

    Being a fan of the book I’d probably form questions that would attempt to throw him off but knowing him,

    I’d get thrown off before…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    There are a few purchases that I regret making in life and think about how I could have saved money if I was sensible enough back then…!

    But,

    Today’s prompt is on the contrary,

    The best purchases we have made with money-

    It could be your hard earned money,

    or it could have been a partial payment was made by you and rest was taken up by someone,

    Or you are still paying emi’s for it…!

    A purchase is a good one only if you can pay it off without worrying about how you will manage the rest…!

    For me,

    One of the best purchases I made for myself is the iPhone that I bought for myself,

    Even if it was a second hand one, I have been using it ever since I bought it and it’s the medium that I use to connect with the world and bring you all of the posts…!

    I made the payment in full and was gifted some accessories as I got it from a friend who runs a small business of selling phone accessories and it belonged to his sisters friend and they wanted to sell it because she was upgrading it..!

    I ended up with this iPhone and I’m using it each and every day since then…!

    There was a different happiness as it is my first apple device and I bought it from the money I earned through hardwork…!

    The best purchase that I made for my mom was a smart watch…!

    She wanted to track her progress and steps but she told me that she couldn’t carry her phone with her all the time,

    So it was a noise smartwatch which tracks her steps, heart rate and sleep which gives her an insight into what she is doing right or wrong…!

    Oh the happiness on her face when I took it out of the box and tightened it on her wrist and paired with her phone…!

    And she was overjoyed to tell me that she listened and made her first call on that watch…!

    Which made me realise how fast technology has changed and one day as I was returning from work I made a call and asked her if we needed anything for home…?

    she recited a list and I wrote it on my phone..!

    And she was overjoyed to tell me that she picked up that call on her watch and there was so much happiness on her face I couldn’t comprehend it…!

    Yes the call was a bit choppy but I couldn’t bring myself to tell her that so I kept that piece of information to myself…!

    These are the two of the best purchases I made the latter one is much more close to me…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    One of the funniest misunderstanding that I was a victim of was being mis-gendered…!

    She’s a fellow writer and works hard each day, managing her life while taking care of her kid…!

    But,

    In her mind she already assigned me to be her female companion…! 😅

    We had a conversation where she published a book and I stumbled across her Instagram page and bought one…!

    And she assumed that I was a girl because my real name is something that can be used for both genders…!

    To be honest,

    She told me that she has a friend whose name is the same as mine and she’s a girl…!

    And she spent years with her during her college and she assumed I might be someone from just like her female friend was who she made friends with…!

    But,

    At the end I made it very clear that I’m a dude who loves to write and would love to buy her newly published book which I got and read it to the last page,

    And it helped me big time…!

    I thought it was funny and how these simple misunderstandings can pop out of daily routine and make us remember them as funny times…!

    That being said,

    I am a dude IRL and I’m fond of reading and writing if someone was unaware of the fact…!

    What app eats up most of your screen time — and do you even feel bad about it?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I know we are very much addicted to social media and even I am a part of the people who are addicted to it…!

    My most used app is Instagram on which I find myself constantly just scrolling a dn giving myself the dopamine boost that comes from each reel…!

    I know it’s not healthy and eats my already limited time,

    But,

    When I don’t my day feels incomplete and I often find myself scrolling even before I go to sleep…!

    The second most used app is YouTube;

    Because I listen to music a whole lot and watch content that helps me broaden my horizon which means a lot of time is also spent on YouTube…!

    Instagram eats approximately an hour forty minutes per day which caps out at least five hours a week;

    Which is followed by YouTube which has around an hour and 20 minutes a day which ends up under five hour a week…!

    Very much addicted but it helps me explore more and think more…!

    Imagine coming across a reel that helps me explore a mindset or letting you know that is happening in the protests at jantar mantar in Delhi,

    From the comfort of your own home…

    But,

    It eats away at your conscience and makes you coming back for more…!

    Two sides of a coin isn’t it…?

    This massive prompt comes to us,

    All of us including this fellow writer…!⬆️

    Well there are some of us who travel without a purpose and those purposes can be defined by;

    Somewhat of a dream or what they saw/imagined in life in their wildest dreams…!

    Or,

    It could be something like they learned and began imitating what they saw in their parents…!

    But,

    For us middle class people who work hard;

    Travel is used only as a means that connects some point to other and it is defined by a reason to travel;

    It can be for business or something that leads to its expansion,

    Rare it is about doing something that can be considered as waste because they know how it is earned…!

    Only reason that is ours and inspires us to travel is getting something in return like a big order or something that has ripple effects in the whole household…!

    And when we come to or back from travel we ask ourselves have we been faithful like did we cover the costs or achieve a certain amount of money or exposure in the form that bring us money later in life;

    And if our ideas match the answers that these eyes see;

    We feel accomplished..!

    What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    There were a few times I followed my gut and it went right for me and helped me live this life better and without any regrets…!

    There’s was this girl that I once met and on the surface she was calm, composed and very mature,

    But,

    There was something like an eerie rush to her when we used to talk about planning things ahead in our lives…!

    Things like marriage, making our family meet each other within a couple of months and my gut was yelling at me to stay away from her…!

    And I made myself very clear about my intentions that I would love to be more successful in my life before thinking about having a partner and thinking ahead in my life…!

    But that thing shocked her and we decided to stay friends and move away from perusing each other as viable partners…!

    And a surprise came to me when I met someone a few days back who is a common friend of ours and he told me that she was in a serious relationship with someone while being unfaithful to him and having someone on the side…!

    And I thank whatever good deeds I did so that I was someone who was blessed enough not to be with her while she did all of that…!

    Other than that this learning comes from a business aspect…!

    There is a client who used to order and pay his bill regularly on time;

    But-

    In the past few months he shifted his business a few kilometres from where it was before and he started to delay the payments because it caused him a great deal of stress and problems due to things that come with shifting a heavy business from one place to another…!

    We initially agreed and received the payments a few days later and it stretched to a week and those weeks turned into month..!

    And if we keep on doing this we will someday lose a payment because of the way it has been going on…!

    So,

    As soon as he made the last payment we told him that we would require 40% of the payment as advance and the rest at the completion of the job…!

    To which he said a lot of things but returned and tried to pull the same stunt again by saying he has some problems…!

    So we told him that we will bear the costs of the material and grind them to the size that we keep in stock and he can leave without it if it doesn’t harm his work…!

    So he came up with the payment on the spot,

    Part cash part online and we gave him the completed order…!

    He’s yet to return in a day or so for a new order and let’s see how it goes for us…!

    These are the two instances that made me believe in my gut feelings and following them…!

    Hey…

    I hope all of you are doing well…!

    I woke up with a news today,

    Mr Sonam Wangchuk who was sitting at the protest for all of students who are considered the future of our nation Was picked up by Delhi police who came in casual clothes around 7 or 7:30 this morning…!

    Just because they wanted his health to not deteriorate anymore,

    And Supreme Court passed a judgement that the state has a duty to preserve life of a person who is on an indefinite strike…!

    This is the angle they chose,

    To save the life of a citizen instead of thinking and acting on the demands that include removal of union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan,

    Because of 20 neet students suicide and recurring failure and lapse in education sector and job creating sector…!

    A dark day in history today…!

    The outdated technologies that I miss are few but I remember them because they remind me and I guess all of us the time spent with our loved ones…!

    First would be cassettes…!

    I remember going to places with my family and we had a cassette player installed in our car and we used to listen to old songs from movies like Mughal-e-Azam;

    When I was a kid I didn’t used to understand the meaning of those when I was a kid,

    But,

    Now when I look back and see my father enjoying them and listening to it as a way to pass time,

    I remember him happy and all of us used to enjoy them…!

    Second would be the bulky tv’s

    I know all of you know the tvs which were huge and had the length of an arms length and they were heavy…!

    Those times are remembered because we used to sit as a family, eat dinner and enjoy the time that we had with each other at night..!

    Limited were the channels but we used to watch movies together and shows which were available at that time…!

    Lastly

    Those close doored PCO booths

    I know it might be too vintage for all of you,

    But I do remember going to pco to call my grandma with my mum;

    Up until we didn’t have a landline at home..!

    There were other things which forced my mum to not use home phone as people at home thought of it as wrong to call her mother every time…!

    We used to enjoy standing in that booth and I think I saw her crying a few times in that booth,

    Which caused pain but we were not aware of what was going on…!

    But,

    Those technologies brought us to who we are today..!

    Today I carry two phones, a laptop and many other things but the distance between us got to much broad that even with all of this connectivity we have moved far away from each other..!
