Thank you for providing me with your story…
#Ysmw #001

Hey…
I hope all of you are doing well…
There was a family tradition that used to take place earlier in our family,
we used to get together,
have drinks,
cook our own food,
some it was store bought,
and it only required heating it a little bit..
But,
it was like once maybe twice a year kind of tradition which used to take place at our residence,
but people used to come from faraway places,
even from neighboring states,
a day or two before…
We used to have music,
and used to hit steps after getting a bit tipsy,
but,
all in everyone enjoyed to their fullest,
there would be people sitting in the corner eating and drinking,
talking to each other,
I would occasionally check on them and get them anything they needed,
and they’d thank me for it,
and the smile would stay on my face the entire night…
Until,
the latter half on ’23,
after battling for an entire year,
and losing at the end,
the life was never the same,
all the point of get-together became a sham,
there was no happiness whatsoever,
all the sense,
essence of happiness or get-together was lost,
as he left us…
So,
I’d invite my now deceased father,
and revive the long-lost tradition of having the grand dinner once again,
Or teach us how we could continue without the loss of someone so dear to our hearts,
where all of us would get together,
and enjoy to our fullest,
once again,
yet again…
Cheers π₯ (Happy weekend)

Hey…
I hope you all are doing well…
This prompt is one of the good ones,
someone who had a positive impact on my life,
this sparks numerous questions because there have been equally or more who have had a negative impact on me and my life and given me ideas to live a life much better than how they shall ever live…
I’ll share one of each;
I got a chance of meeting one such person with whom I’m still in contact with,
I just talked to them a few minutes back,
I wish for them to prosper and have a beautiful life forever,
The exams that they’re preparing for,
I hope from the bottom of my heart that they achieve what they want in life,
(Even if I won’t be a part of their life if they achieve their dreams i shall remember them forever…)
She studies a subject that we both have undying love for,
and that’s how we connected,
on finding that she studies it,
and I have a keen interest for it,
Our conversations happen on and around the same topic,
and we both learn and love it,
when both of us love and grow from our astute and very niche observations…
That’s the type of conversations I wanted to have forever,
and on finding someone who does makes my life much better and worth living;
She has been the one,
and the only one for whom i shall continue to write,
because her words of praise aren’t just there to fill a void,
but,
they help me by giving me an inspiration and a will to continue forever…
and i hope they will forever….
Cheers π₯

Hey…
I hope all of you are doing well…
Having a keen interest in writing and with that,
It becomes a necessity to have a broad horizon,
&
that only happens when you go out,
explore things,
watch live shows,
Theatrical performances,
Or even when you meet new people and hear their side of the world…
There’s a beautiful group that does plays in Delhi,
they go by the name,
“ROBROO THEATRE GROUP”,
though heavily underrated but their performances have been out of the world,
i was blessed enough to witness,
their enactment of a folk tale in our history,
“HEER RANJHA”…
I became their fan from that day onward,
I met the person in-charged,
Kajal Suri Ji…
The person who is a literal magician when it comes to acting herself,
and portraying a picture so clear and vivid that even after half a year I still remember it all with great detail…
It was such a beautiful performance,
heer ranjha folk goes on from such a long time in our culture that there are many songs made on it,
and even references in some of these new songs that come out today;
The folk says the story is set in what is now Panjab,
and it revolves around a beautiful girl named heer,
and a handsome boy named ranjha,
who fell in love,
but,
Due to family’s opposition they were separated;
heer now being forced to marry someone else,
ranjha becomes a wanderer and roams places to places,
until the day they unite,
But heer’s uncle opposes this and poisons her food on the wedding day,
which leads to her death,
and on seeing that the person he cherished the most is no more,
Ranjha consumes the poised food too,
leading to their tragic and untimely death,
as their bodies are laid to burial together…
The story revolves around tragic nature and facing a caste-based opposition,
At the end which results in both of them being deceased in the process,
but the tale lives on reminding us all of the atrocities that were there and lovers still have to face…
I saw the performance in late ’24,
But i remember it like yesterday,
the last and the best performance that i saw till this date…
(they have an upcoming performance on 11th of May 2025,
Called SAMANTAK TEERTH IN DELHI)
if you are in town do check them out,
bookings are open right now…

Hey…
I hope each one of you reading this are doing well…
This is the first time I disagree with the prompt,
because there should be both the qualities in a person;
They should be capable of leading as well,
and even be quick to follow when they come across a concept that is unknown to them,
or if you have less information on,
because all of us are humans,
we have limits,
limits to our knowledge and capabilities,
which makes us different from each other…
There are times that I’ve led people on with these words,
giving them vivid stories to read,
also live in,
but,
I was led on by them too,
when they provided me an insight into a concept that was foreign to me…
For example,
A person,
Whom I cherish,
told me about her life,
How her mother separated from their family,
brutally which led to her forming extreme issues,
but,
the story of the said person is coming out of it is so brave,
that,
it makes all of the other problems seem small…
There’s no such thing as being a leader,
without being a follower first,
You followed someone footsteps,
even if you are unaware that you did,
IT HAPPENED,
You unknowingly followed and aren’t aware,
OR
knowingly followed but choose not to admit,
because you think it makes you a smaller person….
BUT;
the day you admit to this,
is when the real growth happens…

Do you vote in political elections?
Hey..
I hope you all are doing well…
The prompt of this day sparks a real honest question to all of us,
it just doesn’t ask us about our political stance on the type of government we favor,
or what political beliefs we grew up with,
cherishing them,
even spreading them among those who come from us or are in our company…
G0d knows,
I’ve seen many people who don’t vote,
just because they think that their votes don’t matter,
and just because of that they sit home,
or avoid making an effort that will ultimately be a changing point in their lives…
I come from a place where elections happen after every 5 years,
and its a bias to think,
one is good,
the other one is bad;
But,
the scale goes like this,
All of them are bad,
all of them either came from money,
or they come to make money,
no matter the path;
If they have to cheat someone for money they’ll do it,
if they have to remove someone from their paths they’ll do it,
if they want to stay in power beyond their terms, they’ll do it,
they can and will do anything to stay in power and make money,
and more even if it means cheating their nation of money,
that are paid by said taxpayers of which you and me are a part of…
That’s why it’s important to choose,
who are good even if they stem from evil,
they must have a certain side to them,
that makes them less evil than others,
isn’t it….?
Almost forgot to answer the question,
yes,
I do vote,
and with all might,
i tell everyone,
your vote,
the person next to you their vote,
your old grandparents.
even their votes matter…
So,
if you get a chance,
go out,
and vote…
Cheers π₯
