A busy day and becoming the prophet from Khalil Gibran…!

If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

It was a long day yesterday,

After finishing with the prompt,

We went to shop for some essentials that were required at home,

Later on returning an hour or so later,

We had brunch,

After which we decided to go to a few remaining bhaji shops;

A few of them still remain on our list to check out;

We also travelled to Chawri bazar and got the cards that we ordered;

Later we roamed an hour or so more in search of a bhaji box,

And found nothing that was within our range,

All of them were upwards of 150 a piece;

(Wooden ones…!)

So we got out of the Nai Sarak onto the main road of the Chandni Chowk area and walked back to the Chandni Chowk metro station and travelled back home from there…!

It was almost 8 when we reached home,

And one of my neighbours who we are tight with were there and my mom was showing them the clothes and other things we bought…!

And after having sliders that we brought home and talking with them I fell asleep and woke up at 7:22…!

I think it was 11 when I fell asleep;

—

And I have been thinking about what I will be doing today,

Will it be a day off today or tomorrow;

Because we need boxes for packing all off the mithai in a day or so…!

Coming back to the prompt…!

Character from a book ot film I’d like to be and the reasons…

To begin with I would never give up being waakiye,

Or the person behind it,

—

But,

If it were a temporary thing,

I’d love to be Almustafa,

A character created by Khalil Gibran;

—

His prowess is something that I’d love to have,

But I’m fully aware of all the loneliness that comes stringed with it;

A whole lot of self reflection,

And basically leaving the version of self away and jumping into someone who brings you their problems and seeks help…!

A life that is spent seeking and searching answers that bring others some relief,

But that means not living your own life according to you,

It’s a life that’s hard and spent searching answers which aren’t easy and doesn’t provide you riches,

But in a sense they provide you with satisfaction and the person who comes to you with a solution to hang onto,

Hang onto this dear life a bit more…!

That’s something I’d like to be,

An answer seeker and someone who understands pain and suffering;

And helps those who come to him..!
