What’s the best local dish you’ve ever eaten while traveling?
Hey…
I know it’s a late update but I had guests that came on my day off at 7 in the morning so,
And I planned to sleep in but you already know that’s not possible once I have people over especially if they’re from Panjab…!
And let me tell you they brought a sweet that my father used to love,
And by love I mean he absolutely devoured them whenever he got them and also bought them himself whenever he got a chance to go to Ludhiana…!
It’s called besan(Literally gram flour) because that’s the major portion of the sweet burfi…!

Well,
I do explore wherever I go,
Because the type of food that each places bring us is different from each others,
Well there can be similarities like the same dish being cooked but the flavor profiles cannot be matched…!
This mornings breakfast was kachori, bedmi puri and bread pakoras

They sell absolutely lip smacking samosas in the evening which people com from a a far to eat daily timing for the Samosas are from 4 pm onwards to the time they close at 9 at night…!
Last week I got an update from the brownie point that they started selling Russian honey cake(also called Medovik)
I can share a pic but the top layer of it has been eaten by the kids at home and I am sure they are waiting to eat it once they come back after visiting my brother in law’s house…!

Let’s have some Chinese grapes for the time being which I bought this morning as I was out to buy the Kachoris…!

550 a kilo and I died a Little when that rate reached my ears,
Khair
I bought it and I have to enjoy it…
While shedding some tears 😭
Whenever I visit the states where my family lives or even if we go someplace on a whim;
(Well not so much these days but when I was younger…)
We used to find places to crash in and move on the next day..!
We once event to narkanda and enjoyed siddu there…!
Which we absolutely hated from our guts…!
I don’t know why but maybe it wasn’t properly cooked or something else,
And I’m willing to try it again…!
A year back I got a chance to go to Jalandhar and I visited lucky dhaba…!
What I would give to go there once again and eat parantha with a small cube of butter, curd and after a while tea which they make all day…!
My mouth is salivating right now…!

Do eat and drink(if you do and within your limits) when you go and explore a new place/city or even a country…!
Song of the day is here…!

Shirkiwal, Anamika and Yashraj Mishra powered by Shakti studio sounds here in noida..!
All of them are hit and making music for the culture instead of going for commercial success(I know they dabble in that too but that is essential for an artists survival because the rent is due too…)
Cheers 🥂
Love Waakiye 🤍
