A gracious steed and breaking the monotony in life…!

What is your favorite animal?

Hey…

I hope all of you are doing well…!

A new day has arrived for all of us, as I’m writing this on a Thursday morning at 7:55 am; I am in a bit of a thought slump myself…!

I call it thought slump because the Lohri festival got my hopes up and the routine has returned to the same usual rhythm once the festive spirit waived off…!

I know we as humans have to find happiness in little things that happen around us,

But;

Not all days are the same happy go jolly, and not each day the things go right or better than what we have planned;

Some days I just go to work, keep my head down, work my tail off and return home around 9 at night…!

Neither are all days are happy ones, nor they are bad;

Some days just happen and when they happen one after another the fine line between them just blurs away;

Making us feels like we are continuously living and doing what we do while trapped in a loop…!

And that thought is scary…!

When it feels like that, I usually break my routine-

I take another route to or from my work, or make a stop at a bakery to get something from my family;

Because without me who do they have…?

And it brings me at ease when I remember that I went there yesterday or the day before and I make sure to check the day on the calendar when I’m trying to break my routine…!

Enough chitter chatter about my sad life, let’s get back to the prompt…!

What would be my favourite animal…?

My favourite animal would be a horse

Their beauty which makes them fetch incredible prices and their walk which makes them even more graceful…!

The use of their strength which pulled us from horse drawn carriages to the revolutionised world that we live in..!

They are one of the few loyal companions that we can have we even have instances of our Sikh God Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s horse Neela or Nila(translation of the word Neela means the color blue due to the color of the coat of the horse)

And there are many mentions of their lineage still alive to this day, but the blue color has faded into a grey white…!

The speeds that they attain when they are raced, also their use in the games of polo today in Rajasthan…!

A dream come true it would be to see a polo game in this life…!

There are many instances of them being used in wars too, cavalry warfare was entirely about this, and how they maintained their horses in such conditions that they fought wars on horses and also used guns but they didn’t move one bit during the gunfight…!

Even this day we have horses that are implemented in the Indian army, which give a lot of grace and respect to the strength that is associated with them…!

Their value has grown with the types of cross breeding that gives rise to even more powerful horses…!

I’ve seen the most expensive one go on sale was for 20 crore rupees(approx 2.2 Million USD) the breed were Marwari stallion and the name were Shahbaz(A beautiful looking black stallion) and David(A shiny brown 72” Marwari horse…)…

On top of that they actually guess what sort of a person you are just by looking at you and they let you touch them only if they like you…!

A gorgeous steed indeed…!
