What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?
Hey…
I hope all of you are doing well…!
There were a few times I followed my gut and it went right for me and helped me live this life better and without any regrets…!
There’s was this girl that I once met and on the surface she was calm, composed and very mature,
But,
There was something like an eerie rush to her when we used to talk about planning things ahead in our lives…!
Things like marriage, making our family meet each other within a couple of months and my gut was yelling at me to stay away from her…!
And I made myself very clear about my intentions that I would love to be more successful in my life before thinking about having a partner and thinking ahead in my life…!
But that thing shocked her and we decided to stay friends and move away from perusing each other as viable partners…!
And a surprise came to me when I met someone a few days back who is a common friend of ours and he told me that she was in a serious relationship with someone while being unfaithful to him and having someone on the side…!
And I thank whatever good deeds I did so that I was someone who was blessed enough not to be with her while she did all of that…!
Other than that this learning comes from a business aspect…!
There is a client who used to order and pay his bill regularly on time;
But-
In the past few months he shifted his business a few kilometres from where it was before and he started to delay the payments because it caused him a great deal of stress and problems due to things that come with shifting a heavy business from one place to another…!
We initially agreed and received the payments a few days later and it stretched to a week and those weeks turned into month..!
And if we keep on doing this we will someday lose a payment because of the way it has been going on…!
So,
As soon as he made the last payment we told him that we would require 40% of the payment as advance and the rest at the completion of the job…!
To which he said a lot of things but returned and tried to pull the same stunt again by saying he has some problems…!
So we told him that we will bear the costs of the material and grind them to the size that we keep in stock and he can leave without it if it doesn’t harm his work…!
So he came up with the payment on the spot,
Part cash part online and we gave him the completed order…!
He’s yet to return in a day or so for a new order and let’s see how it goes for us…!
These are the two instances that made me believe in my gut feelings and following them…!
